Shouldn't it be getting shot out of the sky in Ukraine?

Ya, exactly. It has better places to be, like in a smoldering crater.

I went to The Museum of Flight near Seattle and they had some pretty neat aircraft to see. The M-21 was the coolest for sure.

But being able to walk around in a 787 was also very cool, it's unbelievably huge. Would really like to fly on one someday.

The Concorde was also very cool to see inside.

They declared a PAN PAN and reported issues with their flaps, and would be landing at a high speed.

Wow, that's ~200kph when they ran out of runway. Code brown, for sure.

Does anyone know if YVR has EMAS in place at the ends of their runways? It's the Engineered Material Arresting System, basically a crushable material that will help slow down any aircraft that rolls into it.

No I believe they just have RESA instead, I remember them being more concerned with undershoots than overshoots

They hardly decelerated the entire length of the runway which seems surprising. I guess it depends on where they touched down, if it was long then that would partially explain it.

This might be behind a pay wall

Apparently the CB Post couldn't find anyone good to interview about seeing the Airbus Beluga, so they settled for me:

Interesting news from Air Canada that they will be moving all their Max-8s to Rouge. Looks like some new routes out of Calgary to Vegas and Phoenix. Also looks like Vancouver to Hawaii will now be with Rouge instead of the mainline... hope you aren't tall.
