I believe in the Jays.

Sahin didn't do enough to justify a spot on this team. I don't think it was expected that Gerrard moved to the deeper role, but once he did, and once Lucas returned, there wasn't really a spot for him. He decided to pout instead of take on the number 10 role, and he wasn't better then Allen or Henderson by enough to give them their playing time.

With nine games remaining and today`s results it is now mathematically impossible for Liverpool to win the league.
Always next year .....

Were you expecting a late title push?

I've been drinking the Brendan kookaid, so ... yes.
Isn't it a bit disconcerting that they are out of it with a quarter of the season still to go.
Don't think it's going to get better either. I'm guessing Suarez will be gone in the off season, and with whatever they get for Carroll this is going to be Rodger's chance to make his mark

I think Suarez will be there for another year. There hasn't really been anything to suggest otherwise. He's recently signed a new contract and the club don't need to sell. He'll only be gone if he pushes for the move himself.

I honestly think he'll be gone. A player of his ability is going to want CL football.

You very well may be right, but he has a contract and has said he wants to stay. The right offer could very well change his mind, but I sill think there is a greater chance of him returning then leaving at this point.

Not sure what is odd about it Liverpool fans think they should be good because they used to be (leafs), overrate their garbage players (oilers) and dive like crazy/blame refs (Canucks).
Liverpool fans are god awful and for the most part insufferable.

Speaking of insufferable, what percentage of your posts in this thread do you think are complaining about or insulting Liverpool? 50%? More? Probably a bit much since none of the fans on this board are acting how you describe.

without Fellani and Pienaar that game looks like the most winnable one left on the schedule
more worried by Fulham tomorrow than Everton without those 2

Unfortunately, I know. I think they could handle it defensively without Pienaar but not having Fellani is going to have a large negative impact on their defense.

didn't see the game and only saw a 5 minute package of highlights
but Wigan were absolutely gifted a game by the ref today
tackle should have been about 10 red cards
Wigan score a winner on the most obvious hand ball ever
hope Haidara is ok but it looks like he might miss a long long time

Ya that was an ugly tackle, and it sounds like it will go completely unpunished.

I believe that as long as the ref hadn't taken any action at the time (e.g yellow card) then the FA are good to go for retrospective punishment? If so, he'll get at least 3 for that. Worst tackle this year by far.
As opposed to if the ref had carded him then the FA deems the matter to have been dealt with. Pardew was saying that the ref apologised to him at HT for missing it.
