I was referring to the pristine surgical facilities with soothing music and tasteful decor. I totally agree with you on long term care...they'll squeeze the last bit of money and joy out of their residents' last years.
Edit: too harsh, I’m sure the staff care a lot, it’s the management I’m less sure of

On the solar front, I think we're starting to see some good returns:
Panel efficiency:
1990- ~22%
2020- ~47%
Cost:
1990- ~$6/Wp
2020- ~$0.30/Wp
Efficiency more than doubled, and cost fell by by 95%. That's pretty incredible. It's a fair question if that was the best spot for our R&D, but the results are there.

Alberta’s government is taking action to combat crime in southern Alberta because residents deserve to feel safe no matter where they live. To improve public safety in southern Alberta, the Alberta Sheriffs have created six positions for a Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) unit in Lethbridge. While based in that city, the new team will work with local police to investigate illegal activity at problem properties throughout the region.

I see the backdoor provincial police force continues to be established.
Two years from now... "Well we already have a provincial police force in the Sheriffs, so we'll just be formalizing that as the APP."

Fuel cells are still a niche product, but you haven't seen a return on investment in solar?
Solar is now responsible for almost 5% of global electricity produced. You might think that's not much, but it's doubling every 2 years and there's no signs of it slowing. The IEA, who has wildly underestimated renewable growth in every single forecast it has ever published, has solar having a higher global capacity than coal by 2027 and natural gas by 2026. That's not production, but it's only a matter of time it's there too.

They’re squeezing the taxpayers too. Much like the charter school system for some reason the private delivery model that industry lobbyists and certain government officials claim is better only seems to work when it’s subsidized.

Is that an industry cost? Residential solar is closer to $2-3/Wp

I thought current panel efficiency was around 20%? Or is that referring to something different?

Best two posts back to back in this thread by far. So on point and tragic at the same time.

Yes, I believe those figures were manufacturing cost, not install cost. Someone smarter than me should swoop in and correct me on this pretty soon.
