Has anyone come out with any more information regarding the classified documents case from Mara-Lago and Trump? I know that they can't prosecute him as a sitting President and the special prosecutor will quite before he takes office. I am wondering if he will be able to release a preliminary report with all of the gathered evidence?
That was the trail that had the probability to be jaw dropping but everybody wasted money on "hush money trails" January 6th and the election interference. Those were all probably interesting as well but nothing like what the documents had the ability to be.
I am pretty convinced some of America's top military capabilities and strategies were in those documents. At the time Ukraine was undergoing a major counteroffensive and there was legit concern within the US government about a potential use of nuclear use in Ukraine as Putin considered that land officially Russia. I can see a scenario where documents that were on top of Trump's toilet had US Presidential military options in the event of a nuclear launch from an adversary.
Mind blowing and shocking how this case was not able to be brought to trail.
Why would Trump release anything at all? He had a judge in Florida deal with it. It's a non-issue now. Greasy Don slips through another one.

I am referring to the current special prosecutor in the DOJ under the current administration who has until end of January. Trump of course wouldn't release anything but there is still an active investigation and evidence that was gathered.
I'm just too numb to be up in arms about any of those picks at this point. It's the clown show all the Trump voters and those who decided to stay home deserve, I just feel for everybody else.

Good timeline here, it looks like he's still trying but I doubt anything comes of it.

Special counsel Jack Smith asks the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals to pause his appeal of the dismissal of Trump's classified documents case and push the next filing deadline until Dec. 2 "to afford the Government time to assess this unprecedented circumstance and determine the appropriate course going forward."
In a surprising ruling, the classified documents case against former President Trump is dismissed by Judge Aileen Cannon on the grounds that Jack Smith's appointment as special counsel overseeing the case was unconstitutional because he was not appointed by the president or confirmed by Congress.

Watch, within the next year there's going to be a news report about Clarence Thomas being gifted a new motorcoach, and then he will announce his retirement. Shortly after that Judge Aileen Cannon will be confirmed as the next Supreme Court Justice
OHS says you have a duty of care to protect your employees. This isn’t new. So again if your duty of care under occupations health and safety is coercive then it’s meaningless. An employer has to prevent exposure of their employees to PFAS chemicals is stopping the use of PFAS chemicals coercive?
Ive accepted your definition of compulsory. But given your broad definition of compulsory your argument is without merit. The requirement of a health and safety measure in a workplace or a change in health and safety measure in a work place is routine and a non event. These policies existed in many areas prior and employers likely had a duty to do something.
Essentially you are saying that any employer following the OHS laws or introducing any new policy to be followed is coercive. It’s a meaningless discussion with such a broad definition.
Everything the state does is a compulsion so it doesn’t matter
Yes and the distinction between public facing and other positions is not relevant. Co-workers exist.

John Oliver offered him a top-of-the-line model and $1 million to walk away from the Supreme Court. He had his chance
Sorry, is the argument that seed oils and Canola oil are not bad for you? I heard about not using them for a while now, and haven't for many years, and this is across the board for my friends and family too. Personally, I can't remember looking much into it myself, and it was one of those things I accepted. I use EVOO and avocado oil for cooking. Being Asian, I also use sesame oil, but it's never under high heat as the high heat I've heard from Kenji Lopez-Alt changes the flavour - I add it when cooking is mostly done to maintain its flavour or to some Chinese/Japanese sauces.

I think that the U.S. needs more food regulations along the lines of the EU. Maybe RFK Jr would bring that in. But for that reason, I wonder if he'll even get confirmed. I could see the Republicans in Senate rejecting him based on the lobbyists in their pocket.
And then because of his stance on vaccines, I could see the Democrats in Senate rejecting him, not to mention any Senator that has Big Pharma in their pocket on either side. Not so sure I see a path for him.

Sesame oil is good for flavours but isn't suitable for cooking at really high temperatures because of it's low burn point (350F compared to canola oil at 450F), so it really depends on what you are making.
As for avocado oil, it isn't really in the budget for a lot of people. For example, according to Wal-Mart's website, 1L of avocado oil or olive oil is ~$15 while 1L of canola oil is ~$5. That is a huge difference for people trying to make ends meet.
It has less to do with personal use in cooking though which is relatively small for a lot of households, but more to do with what it in the produced foods they buy. What kind of oil is used in crackers, bread, other baked goods, and things like frozen foods that people buy. Chances are, it is cheaper oil in order to keep the prices more affordable and competitive. If they start banning seed oils, they better be ready for a massive increase in food costs for a lot of families.

Don't forget most reasonably-priced restaurants still use seed oil all day every day. It's cheaper, and more readily available by the gallon. So you can be a seed oil Nazi in your own home, but I wouldn't count on that hamburger and fries being to your standard.

Yup, you're correct on the bolded. Chinese cuisine doesn't ever use sesame oil for extended high heat cooking. It's added to dishes at the end or for marinades and then under heat for a short amount of time, typically.

Yeah, I learned that the hard way when I started tinkering with Asian cuisine. Filled my kitchen with smoke a couple of times.

Jack Smith is required to submit a report for both the January 6th and Classified Documents cases to Merrick Garland and presented to Congress regardless of whether the trials happen or not. It'll likely be heavily redacted, and I'm guessing that the January 6th report will be pretty much what was released with his immunity decision.
It's a true travesty that neither of these trials went through. The American people have made a grave error electing him. He was selling information and access when he was first president, then he did it again after losing, and he's going to finish the job of destroying American democracy this time around for the benefit of the already ultra-wealthy.
