I addressed this earlier today. He's a divisive individual who has a long history of making aggressive / offensive / combative statements. He doesn't strike me as a guy who is great for building collaborative discussion.
Please answer my question when a player has requested a trade after negotiating with Burke? Burke's reputation is being a staunch defender of his players and historically players have loved playing for him. Just because he is prickly in the media shouldn't give you the impression he is a jerk at the negotiating table.

"First, his personality off of the camera is something to admire. I had the pleasure to meet Brian Burke a few months back. I was floored by my discussion with him, shocked by his personable actions and charisma, despite seeing the rigid and belligerent face on television."

McKenzie: Gaudreau & Flames are closing gap, but it's still a considerable gap.

You know what, never mind, You're the most dramatic poster on this forum, I'm not going to engage you any deeper than I have to, I'll go point form:
- performing at 10% of peak from 24-32 does not mean you can't peak before/after, it means you perform within 10% of that peak during those years
- saying Gaudreau might not be a superstar is not the same as saying it's ok we might lose him, life isn't black or white
- if you can have a realistic view of Bennett/Monahan/Tkachuk, you can have one of Gaudreau.
Everyone is fine acknowledging that Gaudreau could be amazing, but guys like you and Gaudreauvertime aren't ok acknowledging that he might not be.
You shouldn't pay a player based on the best he could be. You hope he becomes that, but add some realism into the mix, that's all.

Brouwer beats Dougie in practice for a goal, wants recognition for it.
Yeah Dougie's foot speed still needs improvement. I noticed it again in the preseason games this year. No surprise given his size but I hope he has a better start to the year this time.
So are we accusing him of being a Gm? Lewis Gross? A lawyer? All of the above? This needs to be poll, entitled: "What is Gaudreavertime's secret identity?"
My assumption is Cousin or Bro-in-Law. S/he's a Devil's fan, so can't be a direct sibling from Carney's Point.
