Fair to say the Heat have had enough of Tokarski.

Was talking to my father in-law, who was the president of the Buffs at the time, about Foster. Apparently, Foster had a massive issue with a groin tear which derailed his development shortly after leaving that great Buffs team.

It's kinda cool that both Kylanos and now Foster have suited up for the heat... wonder how many more years before we see Heatley in a Heat uniform.

They tried everything in the third period. I thought for certain they'd tie it up. Rematch is going to be sweet tomorrow night.

I'm reading around on the internet about this Foster character, was a potential top 5 pick back in the day. He's put up points whenever he's played. Wonder if he has a shot with the Flames if he stays healthy (of course signing a deal with the Flames). I know he's 32 but his problem has been injuries.

Has their been any report of how he was injured in practice?

Long term knee injuries are typically tears which by now, would have become fairly obvious. Even after the injury you can usually do one of a couple manual tests and diagnose one. He's been out for a bit and they said he would be for awhile initially but he doesn't seem to have had surgery.

Unless he broke his patella. In which case yea, you sort of have to sit around and wait for that to heal pretty much on its own and you are severely limited in what you can do.

Heat are back at it tonight

My Gameday Preview

As for Ferland - it was a knee-on-knee hit in practice IIRC. If it's a bad injury, the best place for him is with the doctors in Calgary. How unlucky for Ferdaddy... Once he found his groove he was unstoppable out there.

And as for Foster, he got an assist last night, and he looks like he can play, but I think an NHL resurgence is nothing more than a writers dream. But man would I like to pen that article if he makes it back to the top.

Ward has confidence in him, he was playing with Sven and Granny all night.

Ran into Arsene and went down awkward.

Some injury updates:

- Don't expect Begin to put on a Heat uniform this season.
- Ferland is out very long term.
- Sieloff is doing some underwater exercises or something in Michigan. Ward said he'll return at the beginning of February at the earliest.

I couldn't find any. The score is 1-1 late in the third. John Gilmour has an assist on the Providence goal. Jon Gillies' equipment is lost in transit from Sweden, so he was unable to play in the game.

Boston College is playing later today. NBC Sports Network has picked up the NESN feed for that, so there should be some streams out there if you can find them. It's supposed to start at 5:30 MT, but since the Providence game isn't over yet, I doubt it will start on time.

Not sure how to put this nicely: Age

He's old. He counts against the veteran limit that the Heat can put on the ice. Unless a number of players go down with injury and he's desperately needed, he won't be used in the lineup.

He'll probably collect his AHL paycheque this year and retire.

Sounds like Reinhart may have an assist added to Granlund's goal.

Starters tonight (late on this as the Coyotes game ran late):

MacDonald
Ramage-Cundari
MacDermid-Bancks-Elson
