Huge win for Milos and Canada! Very cool to see. Awesome for Milos and Canadian tennis.

Wow I had zero faith in Milos and he came through! Great job.

It's one thing to draw out these close matches where he's down and give himself a chance to win and it's a completely different thing to actually win them. Great work. Our chances still aren't great but this is a great win and much needed result.

Doubles is a must win match,

Now which singles match is more winnable?

Milos vs Novak? or Pospisil vs Tipsarevic?

With Tipsarevic showing he is capable of choking to low seeds in the past, I like Vasek's chances more than Milos upsetting Djokovic

Great win. It's matches like today's that you see Raonic's true potential. He held it together exceptionally well down the stretch against a very tough Tipsarevic on a surface that isn't his best. His ground game was solid and the serve was incredible. It was the kind of effort we'd all been waiting for in one of these marathons. The growth in his game is coming, even if it's taking longer than most wanted or expected.Another plus to this win is it now sets up the Raonic/Djokovic match that I've been waiting nearly 3 years for now. Djokovic should win, of course, but it will be a measuring stick for Milos and should only help him improve. As for the tie, yeah, Serbia is still the favourite. But if Canada wins the doubles tomorrow (about a 50/50 chance of that), it all will likely come down to Pospisil/Tipsarevic. And there's nothing certain about the outcome of such a match at all.

Definitely think Pospisil vs. Tipsarevic is the more winnable match. Can you imagine if Milos beat Novak though? I'd lose my mind.

What, if any, are the ranking implications of this tie anyways?

There is!

But it's very little.

http://www.daviscup.com/en/rankings/...ng-points.aspx

all your accumulated Davis Cup points for a 52 week-calendar year can replace one 500-level ATP tournament. They must be live best-of-5 matches, Dead rubbers don't count.

So Milos currently has 225 Davis Cup points

5+10 for winning 2 matches against South Africa last September
40+40 for winning 2 matches against Spain in February
65+65 for winning 2 matches again Italy in April

He got 70 for winning today and will get another 70 if he wins on Sunday. The 15 points from the South Africa match will come off.

I believe last year Berdych got the maximum 625 points for 8 wins, which was 500 plus a 125 bonus for winning 8 matches.

Easy work for the Czechs. They've already advanced to the final over Argentina.

Still alive! Wanna see them win for two reasons, national pride and so they beat that turd with the goggles.

This looks like a nailbiter right to the end. Really enjoying the bounce in those Canadian fans.
