Zary’s Mustache also thinks the US is to blame for the Russian invasion of the Ukraine. I wouldn’t expect them to say anything else lol

Canada will become part of Gilead if this all goes down.

The Vance pick is kind of odd. He underperformed in his own election in 2022 and there isn't a lot of evidence that he has much broad appeal outside the way too online right-wing community that loves him.
He also might be the only candidate who wears as much makeup as Trump does. Some of the pictures I've seen of him wearing eyeliner look like he's ready to audition for the Cure.

They're going to appeal the Cannon dismissal.
"The dismissal of the case deviates from the uniform conclusion of all previous courts to have considered the issue that the Attorney General is statutorily authorized to appoint a Special Counsel. The Justice Department has authorized the Special Counsel to appeal the court's order," - Smith's office

The Franz Ferdinand situation, as the conspiracy theory goes, wasn't really organized well either. The way the theory goes, they had an heir to the thrown that politicians around him thought was weak and not intelligent, and possibly dangerous if he took over the empire. So they sent him into danger with lax security. The assassin wasn't picked by them, they just knew that if they left an opening, someone would take it. The first attempt was actually botched in that case, but they got him on the second try. It also had the aspect of creating a potential pretext for a wider conflict.

Trump jr really likes him and he has said he would have followed Trump on Jan 6th. Makes sense to me if Trump thinks he is winning no matter what

It didn't even register that this was Hillbilly Elegy JD Vance. Had no idea that that guy went into politics lol.

Does it matter if the VP pick has no appeal? Most people will voting Trump probably won't even know who his VP is.

Trump is winning Ohio with ease whether Vance is his VP or not. No, it's all about gargling those orange nutz. JD has shown about as badly as anyone that he'll go deep on those boys, basically the anti-Pence.

Yup. I was wondering if there was a small chance that the shooting mellowed him out. This proves it didn’t. Vance is a Project 2025 choice.

I’ll say this - This shooter failed to hit a completely stationary Trump, with nothing in his way, with a modern rifle. And he was dead within seconds.
So I’ll need an explanation how Lee Harvey Oswald can shoot President Kennedy three times from the sixth floor of a book depository through trees, using bolt action rifle with a bad scope, including twice from the front.

I mean the guy did hit trump. If Trump doesn't move his head ever so slightly he is dead.
I thought we'd eventually get the real story on JFK but guess not

Normally, no. But with an obese 78 year old at the top of the ticket, the VP candidate is going to get more attention because of the higher than normal chance of the President dying in office.

The guy on the roof was getting noticed by a lot of people. I think we was a little rushed whereas Oswald was set up in a more private area where he could relax. Plus didn’t Oswald have formal training of some kind?

One was a 20 year old with no training.
The other a marine marksman.
So there’s that.

Yeah, the Dems would have to run LeBron James and Neil Armstrong's ghost to have a chance.

This is my biggest worry. Our two countries are forever intertwined, and what happens down there will eventually bleed into Canada. We’re already starting to see it in Alberta under the UCP.
