Would you trade Bennett for bean, 1 for 1?

I might do #12 and a top prospect if Lucic goes along with... free up some cap space to get a legit Top 4 d-man.

Lucic wouldn't waive to go to Buffalo.

Hell no!

We shouldn't have traded Bennett in the first place.

Stupid 960 replaying the mock draft for the 3rd time instead of covering the trade action! Lol

C'mon, give us a Flames rumour. I'm bored. I was settling for a re-tool at least

With the moves the Oilers and Canucks have made, I'm kind of scared at Treliving trying to "one up" them.

He literally just has to make a good trade. That's all it would take to "one up" the goofs to the West and the clowns to the North.

I'm actually shocked that Treliving hasn't made a move yet. The Flames needed changes much more than the Oilers or Canucks as the core on this team has proven they can't get it done.

So which deal do you wish he had outbid the winner for? Ristolainen? Hyman? OEL? The rental of Buchnevich?

This one if he can be assured that there would be a good chance of an extension or at least a rental trade. But there'sa lot of ifs on that one.

Not only does this current build of the Calgary Flames trade Dube for Reinhart in a split-second, they would also bend over and perform any extra action asked of them to make sure the deal happens.
Agree to disagree. Reinhart is playing with Eichel - if he was a Porsche, he'd be scoring 40+. He is not a Porsche. If his cap was $4.5M, he would be a very nice BMW though.

Treliving makes relatively few outright bad trades. The big one was an error in talent evaluation as opposed to not understanding what the team needed. They needed a top 4 D who could play sold D and move the puck, and complement Brodie (or one who could play with Hamilton and then reunite Broie with Gio). If he'd gotten a Tanev back then for example, that trade looks good. But Hamonic just wasn't as good as they thought.

His other trades range from "very good' to "a fair deal".

Dreger on Insider Trading said to keep an eye on Monahan this weekend as an expected "mega shift" in the Flames is speculated.

edit: he also said it isn't really new because Monahan's name has been out there a long time
