TV job is easier but coaches always want to be coaches. They're control freaks!

I still think he lands in Carolina however. the others? I think they keep their gigs for a bit...tho they may have clauses in their deals that if there is no football they dont worl either. Who knows.

Another thing, is with those 3, they will wait for gigs where they have authority over personnel as well... something Jerrah, like Al Davis, would never ever give up. All three of those have nothing left to prove and will only come back to the NFL if they get exactly the scenario they want.

Well one thing old Archie must have learned running for his life all those years as a Saint was how to take as few hits as possible and stay in the game. His kids are both pretty durable. I think there are only 10 teams in the NFL who's starting QB has started more than the 21 consecutive games Matt Cassel has for the Chiefs, and I know how much everyone on this board thinks he sucks.

Wow... the Cowboys just quit... about 2.5 quarters ago. Terrible. They look as pathetic as the Broncos did this week.
And I may choose to exercise my option to retract my positive comments about Kitna. I can't tell if he's just that out of tune or if he's surrounded about a bunch of quitters.

Next week is the week where there are a lot of good games:
Packers @ Jets
Vikings @ Patriots
Steelers @ Saints (Sunday Night Football)
Texans @ Colts (Monday Night Football)
Should be a great week of football! (Seahawks @ Raiders battling for 1st in the division, Dolphins @ Bengals, Titans @ Chargers should be interesting as well).

Wasn't Matt injured for the season opener last year?

Bolded is likely to be a debacle. Packers lost 2 more defensive starters for the year today to surgery, cant stop the run worth a damn and wont be able to protect teh QB against that defense very well at all IMO.
My only hope for that game is that no one comes out of it with a serious injury, and then play the cowboys at Lambeau the following week and head into a bye, get healthy and come back against the Vikes and roll into the playoffs that way.

Yeah, he's started 21 consecutive games for the Chiefs....look around the league though I did miscount, especially if Romo and Farve can't play this coming week.
Indianapolis
Houston
San Diego
New England
Baltimore
Cincinatti
Those are the only AFC teams who's current starting QB has started more than 21 for their team, and two of those guys Palmer, and Brady have him beat by the one game he missed to open the season last year.
In the NFC you have
Giants
Saints
Packers
*Vikings*
*Cowboys*

I couldn't remember if he only missed one game or if Croyle sneezed and got injured before week 2.

Not sure I'm too excited about the Steelers coming in to New Orleans next week. Sounds like Reggie may be back, which will help.
Halloween night in New Orleans... Always a good time!
