Fed - Roddick 2009 final would have been great to have attended as well.

So fresh after knocking off Leylah yesterday, 15 year old Mirra Andreeva goes out and eliminates #13 seed Bia Haddad Maia 7-6 6-3.

Any suggestions on finding the Marino match on TV somewhere?

For the second day in a row, a Canadian is in action and TSN is showing a different WTA match. Aside from starting a subscription to WTA TV or DAZN, I really don't know.

Disappointed with TSN on this

I imagine Badosa is a pretty good draw on TV but I'm not sure why they waste the other two feeds on the same match.

I may be wrong and am not excusing the actions at all, but didn't it come out that this incident was more of a case of Kyrgios pushing her out of the way from blocking his path to get into a cab and leave after an argument versus abuse?

To be fair, one is TSN and the other two are Tennis channel here in USA, and yes I expect Badosa is a much better draw, but still.

For anyone preparing to try for single session Laver Cup tickets tomorrow, it looks like there are still some cheaper seats available on Friday afternoon, but most of the remaining seats on the weekend are 185+ in the second level, moving way up to 300+ in the lower level.

I was able to grab seats during pre-sale yesterday and it was slim pickings already!

Yeah, the actual allegations are not even close to what Zverev's former girlfriend has alleged. In my opinion, it's not a great look from Nick though when he's claiming mental health issues were the cause of his actions while in the next breath he's talking about fellow competitors being mentally soft in press conferences.

The frustrating thing is that I'm a fan of Kyrgios the player, when he's focused and healthy, he's a top 10 player easily. Unless the ATP were to deem Nick ineligible for the Laver Cup (which obviously didn't happen), you can see why McEnroe added him to Team World.

He's certainly a walking contradiction in all facets of his life, but if he can keep his game together for another year or two, it will be a fun ride. Hopefully the off court stuff is behind him, because like you, I am also a big fan of his game when he's actually all in.

Rebecca Marino ran into a very tough Elise Mertens earlier today who took out the Canadian 6-3 6-1. Genie gets Trevisian on Friday which will not be easy obviously.

Meanwhile, Simona Halep's return to tennis appears to be some time off and she's none too pleased about it.

Genie was eliminated by Martina Trevisian 6-2 7-5 which is not a surprise considering how good the Italian is on the clay. There was a big upset on the women's side just now as Anna Kalinskaya just dispatched Elena Rybakina 7-5 4-6 6-2

On the men's side, young Italian Matteo Arnaldi knocks out Casper Ruud 6-3 6-4. At one stage in the match, Arnaldi reeled off 17 consecutive points.

Carlitos is in some trouble versus Emil Ruusuvuori. The Finn won the opening set 6-2 and they're on serve in set 2.

Boy Ruud is sliding bad this year. A lot of tennis fans consider him a pusher and while I give him more credit than that, he still has parts of his game that aren't good enough to overcome times where he's not playing at his peak. IMO the overall skill and athleticism on the tour is at an all time high right now because of how well players are trained and conditioned and there's little room for error no matter how highly ranked the player is.

Charlie upped his level in set 2 and there was a crucial game where he saved five break points to hold serve. In the next service game, he broke the Finn and that was the difference. We're going three in the Magic Box.

Edit: Charlie breaks to start set 3. Emil looks like he's about to get routed in this deciding set.

Charlie takes set 3 6-2 to advance in Madrid. The great ones find a way when they are far from their best and that's what Charlie did today.
