Get used to it for a few weeks. The good news is I can't think of many backups I'd rather have than Kitna. Lots of starter experience.

Yikes. That sucks for Dallas.
Good thing is that they were already 1-4. It would have sucked way more IMO for Dallas fans had they been 4-1 and were contenders.

Romo's injury pretty much spells the end for this season and the end of Wade Phillips. As I said, Kitna is a very good back up, but the Cowboys are already in a hole.
What are Cowboys' fans' thoughts on John Garrett as a successor? Is he part of the "old guard" that will be shown the door or is he the heir apparent just waiting for Phillips to be axed?

Some grumblings of Nick Saban being interested in the job. His QB's Father is the Vice President of the Cowboys.

At least fans wouldnt have to listen to him do color on canuck games any more!!
But Jason Garrett is owed a whole bunch of money IIRC from Jerrah, and is likely the next guy unless a Bill Cowher type is interested in working in that situation...which i doubt.
What the Giants are doing to this Cowboy defense is unreal, just slicing and dicing them to bits.

Imagine the guy in the booth right now and what he could do with all the talent the Cowboys have.

As just mentioned on tv, I forgot that only 6 active QB's have won the Superbowl:
Brady, Roethlisberger, Favre, P. Manning, E. Manning, Brees.

A thing to remember...there is a real possibility of a lockout in the NFL, a real big one as a matter of fact. Coaches get paid whether the players are there or not, and as such its highly unlikely anyone gets hired before the labor situation gets settled.
guys like Gruden, Cowher, Edwards and such also have a LOT easier jobs right now in TV than anything associated with head coaching in the NFL...and that may or may not impact their decisions. Cowher is one guy i can see coming back though, simply because he has a large void in his life with his wife's passing recently and his kids all out of the house and in college. I still think he lands in Carolina however. the others? I think they keep their gigs for a bit...tho they may have clauses in their deals that if there is no football they dont worl either. Who knows.
