Victory for the good guys!

Watching that 3rd quarter was like the last 10 minutes of a Flames game when they're up 2-1.

I'm happy one of my teams was one the winning side for once.

Colt McCoy I have the uttermost respect for you. You represented your school well on and off the field, and you seem pretty grounded in your personal life. Best of luck in the NFL kid.

I'm sure it's been said already but damn that sucked for Tehas. Lost Colt early and still had a shot. If I was a Tehas fan I'd be livid, pretty sure with Colt in there you guys would have had a real shot at a win. That bites.

something about Colt being injured seems fishey.

I'm not saying he was but dude its the biggest game of your life and you're gonna sit out because you cant feel your arm?

I'm just not sure. I wish he had played the whole game but dont forget that first drive tejas had the ball on the one yard line and couldn't punch it in.

I'm just saying that if it were me it would take an army of doctors to keep me off the field for that game.

Hell Tebow played the outback bowl with a broken wrist and a couple of games with a seperated shoulder. But thats not here or there I wish bama won with McCoy playing. I didn't have a dog in the fight, Yes I was kinda pulling for bama but I wouldn't shed a tear if they lost. I just love the fact all these rammer jammers down here are saying "13" national titles lol

Brown made that decision from what i understand...and it was the right one. When there is loss of feeling in an extremity, you dont mess around with it. That signifies possible nerve damage and certainly McCoy has a football career ahead of him..how successful is yet to be seen, but he will be on a team somewhere come next NFL season, or at least be given a chance to be.

If he was able to play without possible further damage, he would have. That game was the very reason he came back for his senior year while foregoing a boatload of money to do so. I really feel bad for him actually, that was a bad break.

I think I became a big Garrett Gilbert fan tonight. Watching that poor guy have to come in with all the pressure in the world on his shoulders was really tough to watch. His offensive teammates shut down around him when they needed to rise to the challenge most- watching pass after pass bounce off or go through Malcolm Williams hands was pathetic. Then tack on the INT that went for a TD at the end of half when the running back juggled the ball twice before it was finally snatched away, Gilbert just got no help early on. That's not to say he wasn't really off on alot of stuff- Gilbert's deep throws down the sidelines that were consistently overthrown by about 10 yards were unclutch but unsurprising given the adrenaline he was surely feeling.

Come fourth quarter he stepped up and finally got on the same page with Shipley and displayed some tremendous arm strength and accuracy on quite a few of his throws. His perfectly placed bullet on the two point conversion was a veteran toss and really impressed me.

In the end, I think he can walk out with his head held high. He didn't have good numbers but he had his team in a position to tie or win the game and the fumble at the end wasn't his fault at all. I look forward to watching him in the upcoming years, hopefully he's able to redeem himself with a title someday.

I wouldnt mind them getting to claim them cause then Ou could claim their 18 or 19 lol ......

Mccoy prob has a brighter future than tebow in the NFL. I am sure they told him we can shoot ya up with some stuff and you can go out there and possibly get hurt again or you can play it safe so you will be OK for the combines. I know its the Natl title game but I am sure he saw what happened to his good friend Sammy Bradford and decided his career is more important to him.

How do you throw a ball or hand it off if you can't feel your arm?

Going undefeated, until the very end at least for Texas, while playing in much MUCH stronger conferences with tougher schedules is beyond you?

Exactly. Boise didn't get a chance to prove themselves, and should feel no shame in calling themselves National Champions.

I should probably correct my statement and say that Alabama AND Boise State are National Champions.

We do have to remember though, that the game that Texas and Alabama played last night isn't called the National Championship game, but rather the BCS championship game. Winning the game only makes them champions of the BCS. Whichever poll it is then ( I forget which one), is contractually obtigated to list the winner of the game #1 in their poll. Polls don't make national champions.

noboby will play boise. you can't punish that. Quite frankly, the big 12 was weak this year.

I never said it was Boise's fault, but it not being their fault doesn't eliminate the fact that they had a creampuff schedule.
