woot!! Gaby and Felix take out Salisbury and Watson 7-5 4-6 10-3. Felix saved his best tennis for the super breaker while Gaby was brilliant throughout the match.

The rain has started to fall and play has been suspended. That's a shame because Felix is playing some excellent tennis. On serve but Meddy is down love-30 serving at 3-4 in the opening set.

Felix breaks and is serving for the opening set at 5-3
Edit: Felix holds to take the opening set 6-3. That is the first set that Felix has taken from Meddy in a long time.

Just to recap the pivotal moments in the tie-break:
At 3-all, Felix double-faults to give Meddy the lead at 4-3
Felix plays a great point to square the tie-break at 4-4
Then Meddy double-faults to give Felix a 5-4 lead
Felix hits an unreturnable serve to go up 6-4
Felix comes to net but Meddy hits a passing shot right at Felix's feet and he just hits the volley wide to make it 6-5
Meddy then comes to net and Felix rips a shot that Meddy volleys into the net.
That is by far the best singles match that Felix has played in 2024.

I don't think we will get the Nadalcaraz match again today, the Olympics coverage this year has been terrible.
