Completely agree. Set the bar of expectations low enough, and simply not falling on your face can lead to you being declared a winner.

Women thought Clinton won 50%-38%, men thought Trump won 46%-43%

Clinton more presidential 57% to 31% margin

So with everything else in the debate, this little response from Clinton won't get much attention. But god damn, her answer to the 'will you be a devoted president' question shows how locked in she was.
Step 1. Take Trump's response and deflect it in the very first line. "Well, 67 percent of the people voted to re-elect me when I ran for my second term. And I was very proud and very humbled by that."
Step 2. Come back to the question, directly addressing the person who originally asked. "Mr. Carter, I have tried my entire life to do what I can to support children and families."
Step 3. Expand on your qualifications citing direct examples.
Step 4. Call out the specific words that the person asked. "So I have a deep devotion to use your absolutely correct word."
Step 5. Cite a specific, personal story and hit your opponent at the same time: "one woman wrote me about her son Felix"
Step 6. Super bonus points: link it back to another moment from the evening: "Children Listen to what is being said, to go back to the very, very first question."

I mean, it's one thing to be prepared and know what you want to say. Pulling everything together like that in the middle of a very stressful debate takes incredible skill.

Hillary could die on stage or stab Trump in the heart and CNN will still have her winning.

She's had hundreds of town hall debates, she's had an unbelievable amount of practice.

CNN doesn't have anything to do with it, it's a scientific poll.

Which is how it should be.

It's an embarrassment that a pathological liar and self-aggrandizing megalomaniac has gotten so much support to-date. They're finally coming to their senses now.

Not really. CNN has given Trump a crap load of media coverage.

And that's from a poll of debate watchers.

And totally fair right? CNN is about as unbiased to Trump as Hannity is to Clinton.

Maybe just maybe, she's good at this.

Trump is good at ####ing whores and being a ####. Let him do that in private life, literally nobody cares.

He's unfit to hold the highest elected office of the most powerful democracy in the world.

Not really. Trump runs his own mouth.

CNN isn't a great news source, but let's not compare it to the Sean Hannity show or Fox News.

Good! Anyone with half a brain should be biased against Trump.

Sure, it would be biased if both candidates were well equipped to be President...but Hillary and Trump do not stand on the same pedestal.

Trump is a child and an egomaniac with no real principles. He deserves all the ridicule he gets. And then some. He seriously needs to crawl back under his rotten rock.

It's worse for CNN they pretend to be unbiased. Maybe you're too young to remember but CNN sold themselves out during the Iraq war after that they have demonstrated zero credibility.
