Yeah, 8-8 against Dubnyk given the crap he has played behind his entire career is not exactly reassuring.

But it's ricardodw. Cherry picking stats is his favourite past time.

Going to the SCF sure has benefits we didn't even know about.

During the Islanders game the tv guy said the Kings were built for the playoffs, and were playing like it. I can't disagree.

The race isn't run yet. Let's see what happens tonight.

There are going to be a few more twists and turns yet.

Amazing how many people seem to have given up after last night. If the Flames approached it that way they would have been out of the race weeks ago.

People don't realize we're only one point out of the playoffs...

Yeah I'm not really surprised I guess to see the collective flip-flopping on CP. I still think 96 /w tiebreak gets us there which is very doable. We're in the thick of the race.

Don't worry...after the Flames win tonight, those people posting doom and gloom will be right back on the band wagon.

No, people realize that despite taking six of eight points in the last four games, we have actually lost significant ground because the so-called contenders are choking against our direct opposition. Our own play is getting worse and we are entering a brutal road trip.

Virtually nothing that has happened in the last week is creating a sense of optimism.

In the past week the Flames have gathered 6 of a possible 8 points. Optimism!

If we can pull off a win in regulation tonight, I think the Wild might be in trouble. Their remaining schedule is brutal. Might not be a 3 team race for the last playoff spot like everyone seems to believe.

It's possible Vancouver falls out too, but not as likely in my opinion with their last two games being against the Coyotes and Oilers.

Keep in mind though that players on both of those teams may be playing for jobs next season, so I don't think those last games will be easy for the Canucks.

Well it's also two teams jockeying for one of the top two picks in the draft. I wouldn't be surprised if the Coyotes have some of their AHL guys on the roster for their last few games. Canucks usually always beat the Oilers even when the Oilers are trying.

2% difference in the odds of getting McDavid. Haniffin or Eichel is the difference or the opportunity to pick the wrong one worth individual game tanking.

The guys up from the AHL will be playing as though this is game seven of the SC series.

But the Oiler can't help being the Oilers.

If there's any teams out there who can beat the Kings, it's the Wild and the Blackhawks. If they win both games, I just give up.

But if the Kings beat the Wild and we beat the Wild, we can still pass them.

Lots of ways for things to play out yet.
