After one month I finally got all of my 36 raid gear and will be level 32 tonight. Also got a Hard Light last night which makes me really happy I didn't buy it last week.
My vendor ldr is arc with:
unflinching
High calibre rounds/armor piercing rounds/skip rounds
clown cartridge
I don't think that roll has changed since I bought it.

Get to spend all those marks on the new HoW stuff in a couple weeks... then you get to spend all those motes on reforging the weapon hoping for perks to get what you want... and Field scout on a sniper rifle is nice.
Watching the Prison of Elders stream and it looks like a lot of fun
Prison of Elders...looks like just a fun way to take advantage of Destiny's solid shooting mechanics with some modifiers and objectives thrown here and there to spice it up. It'll great to have something like this to compliment a new raid down the road.

Throw it into the ocean and execute a cleansing ritual. The few people who like it, like it ironically. Well... not that bad. It serves me one decent purpose: draining my primary clip for the heavy ammo trick at the end of Crota.
Played for the first time in a while last night. Managed to nab me a Praedyth's Timepiece. Not sure if it's any good or not, but it does complete my VoG weapon collection so that's nice. Although I was actually trying to get armour pieces for my warlock, and ended up getting none :\

Haha, that's what my first thought was as well. Burn it in a lake of fire.
Timepiece is interesting, but is just collecting dust in my vault right now. Only weapons I'm missing from the raids are fang, vex, blackhammer.
Managed to get almost all the exotics as well, (except gally of course.....).

Happy to see xur finally sell thunderlord! I've had mine since December, but I'm excited to see arc nightfall with 3 thunderlords.
Weird day for drops for me...Two legendary arm engrams both turned into ruin wings, both within about 45 minutes of playing.
One has better stats than my current wings, so I guess I'll keep those.

Combination of playing a great game coupled with a lot of scrubs on either team. Was basically a 3 man show...I didn't even use an exotic weapon in any of my slots for some reason....

Patch got released today... speaker now can trade in materials for motes. Also read that any legendary engrams that drop after this patch, the cryptarch can't decode them so need to hold onto them till HoW drops and you'll get the new rewards from them.

I was thinking of starting an Alt character now, but I'm a bit unclear on how the vault works. If I put any gear or weapons in the vault, can my new character use these items? Is there some sort of level requirement for legendaries or exotics? I know I could just test it out for myself tonight, but curious to how it works and maybe any tips to level up quick?

Basically it's an account wide bank that any of your characters can access when you log into them. Legendaries/exotics require Lv20. Only thing to level up quickly is to do the story missions, probably best with another person. Don't need to do the heroic levels as the extra xp isn't worth the time unless you're above the level amount.
Queen's Wrath is out. Basically VIP hunting bounties for events similar to the Blades of Crota. When you kill these VIPs, an Ether Chest full of loot spawns somewhere. Apparently there's a new version of the pike to play with and the Scorch Cannon spawns sometimes as well.
Wish I wasn't booked all day.
Yeah, so the speaker isn't exchanging materials for motes... even though in the patch notes it said he was. Also the blue engrams you get from the loot chests after doing the queens bounties aren't recognized by the cryptarch... so hold on to them.
Those blue engrams will decrypt into HoW gear, so they won't be recognized until Tuesday.
I would assume the speaker exchange will come into effect then as well.

Long day of trying to get through so much stuff. Honestly, the combination of missions, weapons, overall content has been overwhelming in a food way. It really makes you look back at the Dark Below and applaud at Bungie's ability to show an improvement.
The biggest thing I've noticed is now with the resource system, end game players have more of a reason to continue playing any form of content, especially PvP. Motes, weapon parts, and glimmer are all equally valuable and in constant demand. Playing though different weapons will take a bit of time.
That being said, some concerns about how they'll address Vanguard marks and materials. There's little need to purchase materials as the cost per weapon is significantly less, farming chests nets you lots of excess resources and the vanguard marks are only accepted at one vendor.
Haven't even had a chance to touch the new PvP maps that much but they are a lot more enjoyable in my short time versus the previous 'expansion'.
Currently Lv33 with two characters, having beat the Lv34 Prison of Elders once. Just fantastic fun doing so.
We managed to 2 man the level 32 cabal boss. We were both Level 32. Teh_banwagoner left halfway cause he had to do dinner.
BTW, the trash talk at the end was from Fran, Teh_banwagoner. He was saying you were the weakest link lol. I didn't realize he wasn't on voice chat lol.
