^^ and 15 yards everytime (which is everytime) Brady is hit and immediately looks at the back official for a flag.
Hoping for a big game out of Vick and McCoy tonight. The eagles IMO are the most exciting team to watch in the league. Im pretty sure the league agrees as the Eagles have had quite a few spotlight games this year!

I don't bet on my team because I find it makes the game less enjoyable, but I think the Eagles steamroll Chicago as long as they don't turn the ball over. Offensive gameplan needs to be pound the rock with McCoy. Love that stretch draw run they've been using the last two weeks.

The penalty assumes the pass would be complete without the interference, which is highly dubious in most cases. The penalty is awarded too easily. Incompetent offences are getting bailed out.

Wow what a great victory last night! I hope this silences the Flacco critics for a while.
I'm looking forward to playing the Bengals and seeing if they're for real. I haven't watched any of their games this year but Dalton is having quite the rookie season to be sure.

What's going on with Peyton Hillis? From golden boy in Cleveland to wanting out in less than a calender year? The poor Browns fans cant catch a break.

It's really a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario. I remember our defensive coach in high school telling our DBs to haul down WRs if they got behind them on a play because a 15 yard penalty was better than a 40 yard gain.

At times I don't like the PI rule mind you it's not the rules so much as the calls...but the way it is, it should be a big time deterrant for defenders to not committ the foul. If they put a 15 yard penalty and a first down in place, than I think we'd see a lot more fouls committed.
The current rules illegal contact past 5 yards, and spot of the foul, are tough for defensive backs, but it gives fans a more entertaining product because defenders committ fewer fouls than if the penalities were less severe.
I love a bitter Troutman on Mondays. Nothing would make me happier than to see the Patriots fade off into another 2 decades of sucking.

Not bitter. Was not even thinking that much about the Patriots. They have done enough, and I want to see the Browns rise-up.

Here's hoping for the rubber match in the playoffs, where the Steelers need to go 3-0 vs. Baltimore. I'm going to pull a bitter troutman here, that PI call on Baltimore's last TD catch was crap. The receiver clearly pushes off of the defender.
The Ravens D is awesome though, I will give you credit there.

I believe in the Jays.

Cushing has been a beast this year for the Texans. He has adapted extremely well to his move to ILB in Phillips' 3-4, and despite not getting as much attention as he did in his rookie season, he has been one of, if not the best defender on a very good Texans' defense this season.
Lots of people thought he was basically finished after his steroid allegations, but he has proved that he is just a great football player. Plus he is scary as hell.

I'd like to see how often PI is called in the NFL vs. college. Obviously, it would have to be in some form of PI per pass attempt ratio since there are fewer passes in most college games. Off the top of my head, it certainly doesn't seem to be a significant amount greater in the college game than the NFL.
I still think 15+ a first is enough of a deterrent. If that doesn't sustain the drive adequately, the offense doesn't deserve the points, anyway. Of course, I've always preferred a strong defense over a high flying offense, so maybe my bias is showing.

I expect a loss tonight with the red hot Eagles at home, but I would be dissapointed in a 'steam rolling' against what I think has been a very improved Bears team.
Chicago has always done a great job of containing Michael Vick between Urlacher and Peppers.
I think a score like 17-13 Eagles is a close final result

Nice opening TD march for the Bears only being forced into one 3rd down on the drive. Now the real test hits the field

Texans defense is hugely improved this year. They haven't missed a beat either without Mario Williams these past few games which speaks to how well everyone in that unit is playing.
Also impressive is the way the Texans can Pound the ball on the ground without Andre Johnson. Once he's back that's really going to help their offence.

Wow, Bears win, did not see that coming. Eagles in tough now, pretty much can only afford 1 more loss the rest of the way out in a very tough NFC.

The Eagles 4th quarter defense this year has been abysmal. I thought Jay Cutler played quite well tonight. Bears have some pretty key wins that could help them in a wild card tie breaker. Conversely the Eagles have some losses that pretty much make it so that they'll have to win thei Division.

Steve Mariucci said it best on NFL Gameday Final last night we are about to found if these team is for real or next as they play Pittsburgh 2X, Baltimore, and Houston. As only two of their wins so far have come against .500 teams.
