Yea, their record is 34-10 as of now, their last 10 is 7-3 and just won the other day over cavs (worst team in the league as of now), the reason i said they will be going downhill is because the toll of fatigue on their veteran players (garnett, shaq, allen, pierce), they also have the quite a few key injuries and with the way doc rivers coaches this team with such small rotations this could affect them: shaq is out day-to-day, jermaine o'neal is done for the rest of the season or at least it looks like that as well as delonte west and marquis daniels as well. The rest of the season is only going to get tougher and rondo is not known for his scoring ability hes passer and if the bench has to step in to give the veteran players rest, i can see boston falling a couple spots in the standings.
Rondo is not known for his scoring ability, but he's known for being one of the best point guards in this league now. Jermaine O'Neal is not a huge loss at all and none was expected of him as well. You still have Glen Davis and Nate Robinson coming off the bench, so this is not a team that is just 5 man deep.
They still play the best team defense in the league, have already overcome injuries almost all season and managed to be one of the and beat the best teams in the league.
Shaq was never expected to stay healthy the full season but he's done a good job so far and will now have a lightened work load with the return of Perkins. This is a Boston team that is 1st in the East and has been without their starting center who does a whole lot for this team on both sides of the court.
@flames_1987 -> celtics have dropped a couple in a row and now the heat are 1 gb and the bulls are 2.5 gb with 2 games in hand
No, they have not dropped a couple in a row.
And if your trying to prove your point by saying this team is slowing down and is going to struggle in the 2nd half, you might want to pick your spots a lot better.

The Celtics beat the Lakers and Magic this week and now are set to face the Heat and possibly be 3-0 Vs them this year. Still the favourite to come out of the East
I've heard of this guy Blake Griffin from LA Cliipers but I have never seen him play this season so far. I saw the highlights on the Clippers-Heats game and the guy is a MONSTER!!

Sloan is reportedly stepping down today. Wow, 23 years. There are plenty of players in the league who weren't even born when he took that job. I really hopes that he finds his way to a contender and gets a few more shots at a championship.
The Celtics are the team to beat. Everyone else has issues or big question marks or just can't beat the C's (Heat). I am very interested to see the Bulls once Noah is back though. These playoffs will be epic. Anyone here bet NBA at all?
