So why was that huge list of our prospects deleted from the first page?
I used that all the time (although it does need a little fine tuning).

...because the OP had a mini-hissy fit about the discussion that was taking place in this thread.

I actually do think that they probably favour Western kids, within limits. I think they want the best pick no matter where they are from, but if their turn comes up at the draft and they have 2 kids that are about the same, I think they tend to go with the a prospect with Western roots. The odds a Western kid will be happier with the lifestyle and climate are better, and when free agency roles around they won't be as likely to leave or demand an overpayment.
I think there is some good sense to it, honestly. But there are also too many examples of non-Western Canadians drafted by the Sutter regime to indicate that they will pass over a superior prospect just to get a Westerner.

He's seemed to be very adaptable. His +/- is also pretty good on a team that's just over .500.

Apparently Reggie decided it was best to delete the links instead of just ask people to create a new topic.

The Heat won 3-2 in a shootout last night.
Greg Nemisz, Gaelan Patterson and Carter Bancks, all rookies, share the team lead in points with 10 apiece.

They are all great players. Nemisz has slot of skill. Bancks has crazy energy and work ethic, and Patterson is just an all around strong player.

Really nice to see Nemisz playing well and putting up the points.
Anybody have an update on Wahl yet? Missed the last 3 games if I'm not mistaken.

Wahl's been sitting. He's healthy, but Playfair's not dressing him due to his underperformance.
Heat win 3-2 in another shootout tonight

It was an awesome game last night. We went down 2-0, but our 4th line (Armstrong, MacMillan, and Watt) grinded in the corners until MacMillan tipped a Josh Meyers shot from the point.
Then in the 3rd period, the Heat were doing a line change and Breen shot it on net from centre ice and somehow the goalie misread it and let it in. So Breen got the game tying goal.
The Heat killed off a ton of penalties this game and finally ended up winning it in a shootout.
One thing I have been noticing, however, is how selfish Brodie is with the puck. Making the big team in the beginning of the year may have went to his head. It seems like he wants to be the one to do it all. Hopefully Playfair works on that with him.
