Also somewhat related, I had supper with my cousin last night and apparently he went to one of Mark Zuckerberg's house parties (at Stanford) before he was known (he had started FB, but he wasn't a billionaire yet). I asked what he was like, my cousin said he was pretty normal and easy going, and said he was working on "something" but didn't talk much about it.

I saw it last weekend and thought it was decent. The acting and writing were top-notch, but it didn't suck me in the same way Inception or The Town did. I also still think Timberlake is a pretty bad actor.
disagree, Timberlake is a multi talented entertainer and I thought he played this role very well.
I thought it was a good movie, not great, and certainly not worthy of movie of the year.
Every time I saw Zuckerman, I just wanted to punch him in the face! LOL

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
I'm trying to watch this Golden Globes thing, but holy cow is it ever difficult. Everything is so incredibly fake and overacted. I hardly ever watch these things, and I'd forgotten how uncomfortable they are to sit through.
I watched Social Network for the first time this past week. I thought it was very strong but wasn't blown away by any stretch. After thinking about it for a few days, I think I like it a lot more than I gave it credit for when I finished watching it.
I thought it had a great feel, amazing pace and Sorkin's writing was top notch. The first scene alone showed Sorkin's brilliance and Eisenberg was perfectly cast. Whether or not his potrayal of Zuckerberg was accurate, I don't know but he was perfectly cast for the script that Sorkin wrote.
I got zero issue with Social Network winning Best Drama tonight, and would have no issue with it winnning the Oscar. It's not my favorite movie of the year and it wouldn't have my vote if I was picking a BEst Picture, but I can understand why the Academy would vote it as the winner.
Something tells me based on content alone, The Kids are Alright has a very good shot at winning BP at the Oscars.

Eisenberg is quickly turning into an actor I will see a movie just if he's attached to it. Even with the quality from top to bottom on this movie, without a performance like Eisenberg's, this film doesn't go as far as it is.

Don't forget Andrew Garfield, who was nominated but didn't win tonight for his role of Eduardo Saverin. He was great in his role, and played amazingly well off Eisenberg's potrayal of Zuckerberg.
Garfield was a scene stealer in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassis (Heath Ledger's last film) and he is playing Spiderman in the reboot of the franchise that is currently filming. You're going to hear a lot more about him as that movie release date approaches.

This performance was good, but I think the character, writing and directing made it what it was. Everything else I've seen from him has been only a couple steps up from Michael Cera.

Ever see The Squid and the Whale?
I doubt it will change your opinion of him, but it's a good flick.

He wasn't Cera like in The Hunting Party.

I just spent an hour on Youtube watching clips from different movies and shows that Sorkin has written. I'm thinking I might go back and watch The West Wing all over again now... or maybe Sports Night. Or Studio 60...
