I went out of my way to avoid reviews of this movie before I saw it today. I knew nothing about it besides the basic premise and the hype surrounding it. This is unusual for me because I hate wasting my time seeing a crappy movie in a theatre, but the hype was so strong I took a chance and was rewarded with my best movie experience since The Dark Knight. Christopher Nolan has now solidified his position as one of my favourite directors. I can't wait to go see this again, which is another rarity for me.

Wow...I'm surprised at all the love this movie is getting. I saw the trailers, and nothing about the movie really jumped out at me. Maybe it's because DiCaprio is in it, but I just have no urge to see this even with the positive reviews it's getting

maybe you should realize DiCaprio is a really good actor, and Christopher Nolan is the best director working today.

I don't care if you ever see the movie, but to suggest you wouldn't see it because of DiCaprio is... dumb.

I thought it was a great movie... but not all the hype that it deserves. I would rate it around a 8.5/10. One of those that has me thinking after the movie but I don't really care to watch it twice. Watched it the first time with friends and second time girlfriend wanted to see it. Nearly fell asleep the second time. But I'm not the type to ever watch a movie twice in theaters in a span on 2 days

Yeah it was pretty good, but not worth the hype. The premise was interesting, and the story was intricately woven, but I think the casting was waaaaay off. Leo DiCaprio just, IMO, does not play a troubled soul well. The part could have been better suited to someone else. That seemed like more of an Edward Norton role.

I didn't walk away from this movie with the same sense of satisfaction as I did with the Dark Knight. Although I can understand how people would think Inception is Nolan's finest work.

For someone who could not stand the Dark Knight and isn't the biggest Nolan fan I was blown away.

I actually came in to post on this early this morning, but was sidetracked by the Bible discussion thread.

I saw it with my wife two nights ago, and I think this may be one of the best movies I have EVER seen.

I've always been a HUGE Christopher Nolan fan (since all the way back with Following), but I absolutely think that this was his best work, and was personally blown away, even with my own very high expectations upon entering the theatre.

In my mind, Nolan is the best director in the business right now. Can anyone think of someone better? I can't.

I don't know how many actors have been better in the last decade

Sean Penn, Daniel Day-Lewis, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, George Clooney, Johnny Depp.

That's about it. And some of those are arguable.

Hanks owned the 90's. Penn owned the 00's. DiCaprio will own the 10's. Count on it.

Saw it last night, utterly brilliant is not enough praise, truly one the best movie experiences I've had. I've been reading all morning various theories and articles, and came across this very good link. Spoilers abound, you were warned.

That's a huge exaggeration. Norton's role selection has been suspect lately but he is one of the most talented actors of his generation.

I don't understand all the hate for DiCaprio.

Honestly the guy has seriously grown as an amazing actor and is in his prime right now. He was well suited for this movie and hit his role spot on.

This unestablished hatred for him has just got to stop.
