Interesting, you're right.

I'd love to watch a movie or show on that thing. Not overly impressed though so far.

Just checked on my iPhone though.. and it looks like National Geographic serves up flattened ads for non-flash browsers.. yikes.. Maybe no flash then?

16, 32, or 64GB doesn't appeal to me very much. This thing better be priced very right.

That's what it looks like. Super lame. Put me in the group that wanted this thing to have a flip/swivel screen plus a key board so it could function as both a tablet and a regular laptop.

I will not buy this. I would have though if it had the flip/swivel screen and keyboard.

I have to think they would have mentioned it by now. Pretty unfortunate. As KTrain said, this thing NEEDS to be kinda low priced to appeal to people with iphones or laptops.

Knowing Apple, this will not be low priced.

pretty cool that it plays all apps at this point. If i was in the market for an e-reader I'd be interested still, but I'm not. Let's assume this is in the $800-$1000 range, what does this do better than a macbook?

It has to be. Otherwise we'll all just going to buy continue to buy MacBooks.

Edit: What Russic said.
