Yes...If you go down to see him there is a calendar on the wall by his cell with dates circled.
You can cheat and set your console system date to those dates and hear what he says to get an achievement or you can just go see him on the actual dates.
I think there are a few...Halloween, American Thanksgiving, Xmas, New Years, Mother's Day...That's all I know off hand.

Finished it and almost had the exact same experience as reported in the IGN review. All through the game I thought it was decent. It ramped up near the end and then by the time it was finished I had an odd desire to play it all over again. Part of my problem was that I played it a little too run and gun. I'd swoop down in a room full of guys with guns, ground and pound one guy then swoop back up and swing around until they lost me. I would repeat that a lot and it got quite repetitive. Only near the end when the guys got a lot more difficult did I resort to the stealth takedowns and instantly found it a lot more enjoyable.

I believe you have to disconnect your console from the internet to do this. I missed Halloween as well.

they give you a lot of tools to take out guys with guns compared to the first one. freeze one guy, disable the rifles of another 2, take out one with a sonic batarang, and make another spaz out with the electric charge and start firing his gun involuntarily. when you're down to the last couple of guys and they're freaking out is awesome, they get so jumpy and start shooting at shadows

Does BestBuy or EBgames accept trade-ins for Arkham City yet?
I've always just kept the games I've bought and rarely done the trading in thing, how does it work for something that just came out?

I went to trade mine in at Futureshop and they told me they only accept certain versions of the game. My version was the BB pre-order one.
They offered me $30 buck for it. I decided to sell it on craigslist for $35 just to spite them for the low offer.
I think the trade in value is especially low on this one because of all the add-on codes that can only be used once. If you buy the game used you have to shill out another $10.00 to get the catwoman add-on. More if you want the robin one.
Also, I think the value of trade-ins in general has been dropping everywhere. There was a time when I could basically play all of my games for free between trade ins and EBGames policy of taking games back within a week. The party's over.

Checked out the trophy list today and I think Arkham might be up there with Assassins Creed 2 as one of those games that could take some time but very platinum-able. I LOVE games like that. Nothing is outrageously hard.

A lot of the time EB games/Gamestop will have deals, where if you trade in some games for a pre-order they will double the value of the trade in.
Also are you asking about trading in games to get Arkham City? If so EB games/Gamestop never has a policy like that, you can trade in any game at any time and get credit towards whatever you want.

It might just be me, but holy crap are those augmented reality things hard.
Especially the ones that you need super accuracy to glide through tight spaces and turns and such, I spent a good half hour on one, got pissed off and then went back to beating up thugs.

The AR training is key though to get the Grapnel boost.
Do the first one, you'll get the boost, then save the rest for when you're done the game.
yes, they are extremely hard.

Don't people have anything better to do than flame consoles or PC's? Maybe if you actually had the game you wouldn't have to complain about consoles?

I put superior in quotes for a reason as the PC crowd in this thread is giving consoles a hard time (thread title for example) but it was in jest. Personally I don't care what people play it on, I already have it for 360.

Finished the augmented reality missions last night. Very impressed my wife didn't walk out of the bedroom and shoot me with "Augmented reality activated.... augmented reality failed... augmented reality activated" going off every 20 seconds. The last two were BRUTAL.
I'm now stuck with 3 side missions to go. Heading off to find some walkthroughs....
