Bookmaker lays odds on Tiger's marriage
Quote:
Bookmaker.com has begun taking money on the next step in the tabloid saga that began early Friday morning.
|
Quote:
As of 7 a.m. Tuesday, the website's odds, from most to least likely outcome:
2:3 — Woods and wife, Elin Nordegren, stay married
2.2:1 — Woods was "under the influence"
2.5:1 — Woods gets a divorce
2.75:1 — Woods admits having an affair
5:1 — Woods buys Nordegren the "Kobe Special" (i.e., an outrageously expensive ring)

Since she smashed out the rear window of the car with a golf club, I assume she must have been one p**sed off woman. I don't believe for a second that she smashed the rear window so she could get her husband out of the car "after" the accident. Nobody smashes a rear window to do that.... the side window, yes.... but the rear window? No.
Hell, he was probably trying to drive away when she did it and thats what caused the accident.... LOL.

For some reason, I get this image of Tiger running out of the house in a bloody mess and hopping into the car trying to escape. Then his crazy wife leaps onto the back of the car, club in hand, screaming like a maniac and smashing his rear window trying to get at him. In a panic, Tiger freaks out and doesn't pay attention to where he's going and smashes into the tree, then into the hydrant.

From what we "know" (and i use that term loosley) this seems like the most plausible situation. Since his airbag didn't go off, there is no way he got thrown into the back seat (which would make smashing the back window somewhat logical)..
of course this all rests on the info gained from the tabloids which is the biggest problem!

Well considering the circumstances logical actions aren't always going to be the ones chosen. She may have approached from the drivers side, saw the front door heavily damaged and just went for the closest undamaged area. It's not the sensical approach, but people aren't always sensical under stress.
You're scenario is also possible, we obviously don't know, but the only reason it's the one people are reporting and speculating about is the fact that it's way more interesting and will generate way more hits.

Does anyone else think about that scene from Terminator 2 where the T2000 chases down the car when they read this story?

The alleged "other woman" today in the New York Post with an excruciatingly detailed and convincing denial of any involvement with Tiger Woods.

I was thinking more of The Simpsons parody where Flanders uses golf clubs.

And with new details seeping out every hour of everyday, this is going to be a big story for awhile, until every minor detail is leaked to the general public.
Where have we seen big scandals blow over before uncovering what "really happend"?

Dec. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Tiger Woods’s car crash will be discussed at a Florida Highway Patrol news conference this afternoon.
The highway patrol’s spokeswoman, Kim Montes, said in an e- mail that the agency would provide “updated information” from its investigation of the crash at 3 p.m. New York time. She didn’t give details.
The announcement came hours after a lawyer for Woods’s neighbors in Windermere, Florida, told reporters that the golfer’s wife, Elin, asked them to call 911 after her husband’s sport-utility vehicle struck a fire hydrant and a tree as he was leaving his house about 2:20 a.m. local time on Nov. 27.

I just read that article cow posted... That is about the most thorough denial I've ever heard. And the smackdown of the person that sold the story to NE is just great. I'm not usually one to give a damn about celebs and affair gossip, but that was a very entertaining read.
