Seriously, the best way to defend against the one timer is just hit everyone without the puck.

There is a invisible trapezoid area in front of the net where you are allowed to hit the opposing players as long as somebody on their team has the puck. It stretches up to at least to the hash marks and spreads out as it gets closer to the net.
It does get sort of silly but I think it is needed because holding onto the puck and passing is too easy in the game. This evens it up a bit.

Not the one...

We should've made a separate league for lousy players.
I've played one league game. Down 5-0 in the 1st period. Awesome.

It's technically not a speed burst, it just punches the puck ahead.

I used to suck, but when you play against better players all the time, and then go back to other players at your old level, you'll destroy them.

Thank god it isn't just me. I keep getting taken to school. I thought I was pretty good at the game... until I joined the league.

It never connects you and I either...
Are you behind a router?
I've been told you need to open the proper ports on your router if you are behind one.... I did it with mine long ago I have no problems connecting with any other players though... Hopefully it's just something simple like port forwarding or the league may be tough finish!
These links should help those who are having problems....

I don't understand how a router would cause it to fail to connect to only certain players.

I've had no problems, except for a freeze in the middle of a game with Flames Gimp, but the next game was fine.

eddychan/BananaJak with the cheese tactic, you cheap SOB. Draws the penalty by standing still in OT so one of my computer controlled players comes in with the slash/stick lift.
Wins it in the SO.
The end result may have ended up the same, but I expected a little better sportsmanship in an all CP league.

Actually I didn't do that on purpose. My player froze when I was trying to do a one timer. If he hadn't of froze you would of lost in regulation.
I have never even heard of freezing on purpose to draw a penalty? No less purposely NOT shooting on an empty net.
You can ask anybody on here if im a cheesy player or not. Don't call someone out before you even know what happened.

Win in regulation? The game was in OT.
One timer on an empty net? There was no shot to be had. The whole play/penalty was behind the goal line on the boards.

Sorry in OT. But yes it would of been a one timer into an empty net, my player froze, and thus I ended up behind the net.
But don't want to argue man. It was a solid game and you put in a good effort. Just don't like to be called out for something I didn't do, and especially being called "cheesy"
