so i just finished the brand new DLC Lair of The Shadow Broker, and i have to say it's excellent. longest DLC released yet (and largest, at 1.5gb) and getting to have Liara back in your squad is pretty cool. also some fun cutscenes to watch if Liara was your love interest in the first ME and you didn't cheat on her (especially as a female Shepherd). all in all it was definitely worth the $10, and without spoiling anything there will be major ramifications for ME3 with how Liara's mission ends

Already done, eh? Nice, I can't wait for it. However I am playing NHL 11 so it might be some time until I get to it!

i thought the Asari spectre was harder than the shadow broker, beating her on hardcore on my first time through was a bitch. but my infiltrator made short work of the broker with the arc projector and widow

The Asari was harder (imo) because she'd always do that "teleport" move, and then send in her drones.
The Shadow Broker was easy as I just widow maker'd his ass until he died.

I beat it on Insanity, first play-through. I had a harder time waiting for Liara's door unlocking device to work than I did at any other point. Although the inside joke about 'slapping omni-gel on everything to get them to open' made me laugh and forget all my frustration.
I have only beat the DLC with my main Shepard character though. I still have to complete the others with my other Shepard's.
Main Shepard, Paragon Male: Complete
Secondary Shepard, Renegade Female with a heart of gold: Game beaten, DLC incomplete
Third Shepard, Renegade, pro-humanist Xenophobe Shepard: Game beaten, DLC incomplete. May do over.

Shadow Broker was the first DLC to "bridge the gap" between ME2 and 3, so hopefully there is more announcements soon for future DLC coming up quickly. If it is as good as Shadow Broker was, we're in for a treat.

i'm hoping the next pack will be an Ashley/Kaiden one, depending on who survived in your playthrough. it would be nice if they setup Shepherd as rejoining the Alliance, depending on whether you're paragon or renegade

I agree, Cerberus is a terrible organization. I want to take Miranda and head back to the Alliance.

I wonder what the PS3 version will have for DLC? All the same stuff I assume.

I'm just speculating here: The PS3 version will obviously contain the game itself, and may or may not come with all currently existing DLC bundled together. Plus, BioWare will also have to come up with a way for PS3 players to tie in events from Mass Effect 1 such that they will be noticable in Mass Effect 2.
Some side quests in Mass Effect 1 had repercussions in Mass Effect 2, even if relatively minor. Others had no impact whatsoever. Maybe they'll have an impact in Mass Effect 3, maybe they won't.
Without bundling Mass Effect 1 into the package as a seperate game, I imagine it would instead put you through a brief multiple choice exam, sort of like that G.O.A.T. in Fallout 3.
Example:
While chasing a distress signal on a garden world in the Traverse, you encountered a scientist being held at gunpoint by a Marine. The Marine claims to be a survivor of the Akuze incident and claims the scientist is working for Cerberus. The scientist on the other hand denies all allegations and insists the Marine is delusional and unstable. It should be noted that according to Alliance personnel records, the Marine holding the scientist at gunpoint is officially listed as K.I.A. while on Akuze. Do you:
A) Allow the Marine to take his revenge?
B) Order the Marine to stand down and bring the Scientist in for interrogation and possible trial?
C) Take the scientist out yourself? As a Council Spectre, you pretty much have immunity.
D) Order the Marine to stand down, get the scientist to safey, and get the Marine some psychiatric help?
There'd be probably anywhere from 20 to 50 different questions like this, all of them slightly altering the nuances of the playthrough for Mass Effect 2 and shaping the player's Shepard to their liking, without having to play 40 hours worth of game to get it.
