The Stamps' Efence is so horrible there is no hope for it as it stands.
The LBs suck, the Dline blows, Amadi is just as terrible as Bannister was last year the bum gets burned for a long TD at least once a game.
Chris Jones is on crack if he thinks he has the players with the skills needed for a successful D - I hope he is just pulling the coach speak thing to not throw those pieces of garbage under the bus.
There better be some big changes before the game vs Toronto, or we will be watching the RB Joseph put up 200 yards rushing, and watch the Efence give up 30+ to a horrible Tor O.

Stamps D is the mostverated in the league and Robertson should be able to get aleast 150 yards from the line of scrimage.

Yeah, we get it - efence without the D. This is like the 6th time I've seen you use it.

2 of the 15 yarders were terrible calls so that makes it a little better.
The offsides on the receivers are inexcusable and have been a problem for way too long now.

I didn't want to comment before now as I was seriously choked, but regardless of the Eskimos winning, that was a great game. Both offences put on a show and it was 1000x better than any NFL grindfest (just for you, Rube!)
Positives:
- Defence seems to have a knack for creating turnovers
- Even without Rambo, the offence has the ability to put up big yardage thru the air
- Despite not using Reynolds enough, the run game is there when it is needed
- Team is rarely turning the ball over
Negatives
- Apparently it's the players and not the schemes that cannot stop the run
- The D-line is not getting enough pressure again
- Special teams seem to regress every week, started out the year strong and now look mediocre at best
- Too many dumb penalties that aren't the product of aggressive play, but rather the result of insufficient attention to detail

Something seriously needs to change on the defensive part.
#1. I like MLB Trey Blackmon because he is an energy player but I don't think he is strong enough to go after the OLine or the RB for the other team. He seems to make some bad decisions out there. I really hate to admit this because I was not a big fan of Jojuan Armour but I really think we missed that bozo. The Stamps need to find a good and strong MLB soon. The backup LB Mark Grootegoed is awful so far whenever he plays. He is good a special team guy but not good enough to be an LB.
#2. Our inside DLine Tom Johnson and Mike Labinjo are good and really fits in well on the DLine. Outside DL Odell Willis got some speed and really good with QB pressures. But I think they are missing the other side DLine. Now, the other teams are double-teaming either Labinjo or Willis and the other guy is not taking advantage of it. I thought DL/LB Malik Jackson had some success when he was playing opposite side of Willis. I believed it was against Toronto that both Willis and Jackson had a blast tag-teaming Joseph. Juwan Simpson is okay but not fast enough. We seriously need a speed guy on the outside DL to complement Willis. Why Robede not playing much these days? He helped the DLine last season.
#3. With the rookie Amadi struggling, why not use Keon Raymond or Collins to spell him out. We still have Wes Lysack to play safety so why can't they put Collins on his position once in a while?
#4. The Stamps need to improve on tackling. You cannot let the guy slip by you all the time. Once example was Fred Reid of Winnipeg get tackled by Grootegoed on the 5 or 4 yard line. Fred Reid keep on going and practically drag Grootegoed all the way to the end zone. Reid 5'6" or 5'7" or even shorter and probably less than 200 lbs. Grootegoed 5'10" 219 lbs.
Defense are not aggressive enough.
#5. Special Teams have the right personnel but they seem to blow their coverage a lot in the last few games.
#6. Dumb, dumb, dumb penalties... way too many of them. The holding, defense offsides are NOT the ones killing them. It is the penalties after the play, offensive offsides and some pass interference calls. Although some of those interference calls are not warranted. They are saying Dwight Anderson are committing way too many penalties but in his defense, some of those penalties were bad calls by the referees and because he is trying to be aggressives.
On the Edmonton game, i was more choked on the way Whitlock and the other guy plus Ray ran them over. I see missed tackles which is unexcusable. Yes, special team blew it big time but if our defense could stop the running game, the Stamps wouldn't have to worry on where to kick the ball after their TD and also wouldn't have to worry on Ricky Ray's miracle pass.

The Stamps need a true run stopping DT (Eddie Freeman anyone?), they need Labinjo to hit the weight room and stop hitting the buffet line so he can move to DE opposite Willis, and they need a real MLB - Reggie Hunt comes to mind since he already knows the CFL game.
Then they need Amadi to go the way of Calvin Bannister, and they need their kickers to stop beating the hell out of each other and concentrate on making Special Teams good again.
