Washington DC doesn't even have a mall in the top 25 largest in North America?

I don't think they ever said it would be the largest mall. It is the largest Mills style shopping centre in Canada and maybe N.A..

It doesn't even have a second story.

I think the largest mall in the US is the Mall of America in Minneapolis. They and West Ed have been going head to head for a few years.

They call the area in DC that houses all the museums and has the reflecting pool 'The Mall' I believe.

It's actually slightly smaller then Vaughan Mills north of Toronto.

There's no way that it is the biggest Mills mall in North America. Sawgrass Mills is twice as big.

I looked back in old threads about this and the mall portion was always going to have similar square footage to Chinook; the thing that made this project huge was a Horse racing track, casino, hotel and vet school.

Other than the race track which is having funding issues, I haven't heard anything about these other aspects of the development.

I'm just hoping the restaurants they have planned will be good ones, not the usual Earls or Joey Tomatos. If they are good, I may actually travel down there just for them, as Red Deer is a hole for restaurants.

Gamestop is the same thing. In fact, most EB Games will be changing over to the Gamestop name in the next 1-2 years.

What the heck is the difference between a Mill and a Mall and who came up with this ridiculous nomenclature?

Is it because it has Factory Outlets that it is considered a Mill?

I can't believe we have 7 pages of drivel discussing clothing stores that may or may not be in the new Airdrie mall.

The only store I care about up there is Pro Bass and the rest I really don't give a flying f about. My wife has to drag me kicking and screaming into a mall to "shop". If its not a Home Depot, a Canadian Tire, or a FutureShop, I will avoid it at all cost.

I'm really disappointed in the "men" on here. Some of the women here have more testosterone than you guys do. Most of the stores mentioned here I've never heard of and I'm quite happy to never step foot in them.... but apparently a lot of you can hardly wait to enjoy the "shopping experience" of these new and wonderful outlet stores.

Good luck to you. Don't forget to get a new purse while you're out.

Wow, ReRun with the quadruple post there back in page 7. You post whore.

And what IgiTang said "WHERE THE F*** IS MY WATERSLIDE PARK!!"

That was the only thing I was looking forward to after hearing is was supposed to be bigger than WEM (which it obviously wasn't). Besides the Bass Pro Shop why should men go? There is no waterslides or women in bikini's.

They were named after retail giants Joseph Mall and Steven Mill.

It's a mill because of the outlets and the fact that it has a bunch of anchor tennents instead of the typical 2 department stores. Sears/Bay.

Mohave Grill is full of win.

The Mohave Grill in Calgary was such an incredible disappointment.

Sorry I'm off topic, I need this stage to rant

Mohave Grill in Red Deer is possibly the worst restaurant I have ever been to.

My mother wanted to take me out for my birthday, I have never been, so I suggested Mohave Grill. First there was no one in the dining area and it took 15 min before anyone came out to greet us. Then, forever for our order to be taken. I ordered the massive fajita platter, steak and chicken fajita's. I eagerly dive in!! The steak tastes rancid!!! Seriously awful.

I finally get the wait staff to come over after I almost lost it. I say "the steak tastes a little off". TO which I get the reply " yeah, we have had a lot of complaints about the steak..."

Then why the fata did you let me order it!!!??? SO anyways, I am turned off from the rest of my $20++ craplatter, after the first bite. What am I offered in compensation? Half price desert! Are you kidding me?! Assuming that I was going to have desert. I asked for the bill and the manager, the bill came the manager didn't. My mother paid and we left, never to go back again. My mission is to tell that story every time I hear of the Mohave Grill.

/rant

I can't wait for Malzac to open, if there is a Mohave Grill, I will boycott that one as well.
