I hope the PSP talk ends soon and they can get on to showing more PS3 games.

You already have the Iphone though. I think the target demographic for the PSP go is somebody like me who is into games, but thought the PSP was too big. And also wants some of the benefits of the Iphone. The PSP frustated me because it was so big. Really hard to use it as a media player.

I'm not saying they've done something strategically wrong, just that it doesn't appeal to me.

^^Fair enough. I misunderstood what you were saying. MGS Peacewalker looks good. Although looks like there are going to be a lot of Big Boss clones.

I probably wasn't clear enough. For me I was hoping for some sort of psn integration. I love psn games but I'd be so much more likely to play them on the ctrain or something. For instance, I would probably pay close to $200 just to play Pain alone in a portable fashion.

edit: I do have to say, I love the control pad. I hate (hate) touch screen gaming. It's so hard to do well imo, so I was quite pleased to see psp go with actual buttons.

Geoff Keighley says there are some surprise announcements to come ...

^^Looks like you might get your wish to an extent. PSP looks like it is getting some of the PSN style games. Pixeljunk Monsters just to name one. I think I saw Fat Princess in that trailer as well.

Edit: Wow, FFVII on PSN is a huge announcement. I might actually use my PSP again.

Edit 2: I haven't been on Home since launch. Has it improved at all? I got sick of the Twilight trailer really quickly.

So far the Sony press conference is kinda boring. Too much random video montages. I'm sure once they show God of War 3 and Trico, everyone will go nuts.

Edit: sweet, Assassin's Creed 2 game play

I hope there are some PS3 announcements because these 5 minute montages are boring as hell.

Am I the only one that doesn't get Square Enix?

Edit: Goddamn motion control here we go ... at least it doesn't at all look like a dildo.

What do you mean?

Edit: I've been a fan of their games for a long time since the original Final Fantasy, so I hold out hope.

Nope. I have no interest in basically anything they put out.

Really? A trailer for FF14 when FF13 isn't even out for another 8 months?

You don't like androgynous video game characters?

I think I'm one of the few Asians that has never played any Final Fantasy games.

I wonder if the PS3 motion control device was developed last night. This brings nothing new to the table.

Seems a long way off for their motion device even though it works OK.

I wish I could see what they are doing with that thing. It sounds quite stupid in text.

hmm ... that was cooler than I anticipated. It looks like it may not be a total disaster. Dare I say, possibly even a little fun.

I think the microsoft and sony system is better then nintendo now, which microsoft having the best system. From what i've seen, microsoft is the only one to use full body and looks to be able to do what sony's system does. One thing i'm wondering for the camera based system is how picky the lighting and calibration has to be.
