That was a awesome win by showtime tonight, beat the crap out of teh Nuggets. We finally turned it on and buried that team, and saved the nba the embarassment of having trash like Martin and Anderson on the Finals stage.

Now we walk into the finals and win that world title that boston stole from us last year, and take home #15, and #4 for the greatest ever Kobe.

Do you play for the Lakers?

Boston didn't steal anything they beat down the Lakers last year. Also Kobe is not the greatest ever, not even close.

But at least he can finally say he won a Championship without riding Shaq's coattail. But I wouldn't say beating Orlando or even Cleavland will be an easy task for the soft Laker team.

Instead they get quality individuals like Kobe and Odom.

And Kobe as the greatest ever.... not even close.

Yes... The biggest marketing tool in the league and the best player in the league.

The best player in the league plays for Cleveland not LA.

Here we go again with "rapist" comments, which hold no real value of argument. Honestly, come up with something else to argue as to why you don't think he's good as opposed to just throwing out the word "rape" in order to justify your dislike for him.

Kobe was MVP last season. Should have easily won the prior year when Dirk was the recipient.

It was a great win. It was a dominating win and it showed again that there is no answer in the NBA to stopping Kobe.

It pains me to relive it, but Boston won last year's title because as a collective, they wanted it more. They worked hard for it and played physical on a Bynum-less Laker team that had cake-walked to the Final. It's a different team this year and hopefully with the adversity they've faced last June and over the past two rounds has taught some of those guys how much it really takes to become real winners.

Kobe is currently the best player in the NBA, but definitely not of all-time, though. It'd be difficult to put him in the Top 10... It would all depend on what happens in the next 2 weeks. He does have a place in the Top 20.

109 of 121 writers around the Nation would disagree with that statement, while only 2 of 121 would agree!

No no, he was saying "therapist" like Kobe needs a therapist for hooking up with that low budget tramp. Dude, you're rich, why are you getting with average white women in EAGLE of all places. Don't put yourself in that situation. Not "The rapist".

As far as real reasons to dislike him, unless he does it this year, he has never been able to win anything without Shaq. His ability to look and whine to the ref for a foul after every single shot he takes is infuriating. He's comes off as a selfish player, and assists or not doesn't really make the people around him better.

Winning MVP in the league isn't exactly what it used to be. You really think Nash was the MVP the two years he won it? The entire league is tainted and boring, but at least David Stern got his Lakers into the finals.

We? Do you live in LA? Have you ever?

The Lakers are the team that people like because they want to cheer for a winner. For me it's the Raptors (because they're Canadian), the Suns (Steve Nash), whoever the Pistons are playing (worst behaved fans ever) and then whoever the Lakers are playing (because of people like you).

Kobe's legal team played the greasiest and most disgusting tactics I have ever seen a team of lawyers pull as part of his defence. If they tried that up here, i think they would all be sanctioned by the Law Society. I have no doubt in my mind that he raped the girl.

Other reasons I don't like him. The rules, especially "travelling" do not apply to him. He gets special treatment by the refs and if they called the game on him like they do with the rest of the NBA then he would be just a regular all star, instead of the poster boy for rapists.

Thanks for telling people why I like the Lakers. Do you live in Toronto? Do you live in Phoenix? Have you ever?

People like me? What is that supposed to mean?

You where in the room while Kobe had sex with that women? He was not found guilty. To say he is not a great player beacuse of someone accused him of raping them is bs.

Plus Lebron is not better then Kobe after this year its going to be 4 world titles to 0 for Kobe. At Lebrons age Kobe had 2 titles.

IIRC, they dropped the case. The prosecutors wanted to go forward but the "victim" decided against it. The judge was going to allow the fact that she'd boned like 2 other guys in the same 48 hour period (or close to that, don't remember exactly), and the girl didn't want to go to court.

Honestly, I don't think he did it, imo she was looking for a payday.

That is laughable. Lebron is a much more rounded player than Kobe was at his age. The Championships mean nothing because anyone with a brain knows the players Kobe played with between 1999-2004 where 1000x better than what Lebron has had to play with this far into his career.

Even with his soon to be 4 Championships you don't hear a lot of talk about Kobe being in the same class as guys like Jordan, but you sure hear a lot of comparisons with Lebron.

I get the hatred for Kobe, but why Odom?? He may be a space cadet but he is relatively harmless and is a pretty decent dude away from the court.

1) As stated in my original post, the tactics of his defence counsel would have them disbarred in a lot of places. In case you forget, there was also an "out of court settlement' as well.

2) Lebron started on the worst team in basketball. Kobe had Shaq. Big difference.
