Oh boy, lots of favorites in this category! I'll stop myself before I've completely clogged up this thread. Okay, getting close to bed time so I've cut it off at four. Trying to keep in mind that this is a photography contest, and not and architecture contest.
#1:
Neuschwanstein, the castle that inspired Fantasyland.

There's a Palmelo castle on the right (and actually, I'm kind of in it), so I consider it as fitting within the category. If inelligible, let me know and I'll take it down.

I was going to post my pic of the same castle, but mine was taken on a crappy day. Damn you!

And again...
Somewhere in Germany... because I forget this particular one...
I probably have some better ones kicking around but it's getting late so these shall suffice...

^kevman, how do you get so few people in Nyhavn?
I don't have a flickr account and photobucket dropped the ball on me, but if I were to say the most breathtaking architecture,
old/rebuilt : Stari Grad, Mostar, Bosnia (posted in this thread)
colourful/cute : Ærøskøbing, Danmark
Most grand : Peterhof, St Petersburg, Russia

I love the way you framed this shot SebC. I think this may be my favorite of all the pics so far.

Alright, seems like everyone has their photos in, so let's start the voting.
Vote for your three favourites (with the thanks button), then we'll have a run-off with the top 3.
