Hey all, how many people to we seem to have?

Some other buddies (NON-CPers) are also looking to play ball hockey (at the WoodCreek Community Association rink) and I don't know how many they are, but I will try to get them to come up central to St. Monica's.... that way we can get a real game going. I think they wanted to start at 2 though, but I am sure we could fill Pete's right up with all these people.

Shin guards (soccer style) are optional but to cover them we need to have a team sock. We could use hockey socks with the flames color pattern on it or just plain black soccer/tight socks.

Otto, one thing I forgot to add is that the Calgarypuckers paid a fee to have the Puckers logo created by cal-crests, plus I also paid to have the logo created by a graphic designer, so that it was in the proper format for cal-crests to be able to alter the size/colors etc (I forget what format it was).

I'll lool it up, but I think you typically pay about $300 for cal-crests to create your logo, plus a $50 editing fee if the color of your logo changes between your home and away jersey.

I paid $150 for the graphic designer to recreate the Calgarypuckers logo, but I'm sure you could find someone on CP who could do this for you.

You know what would be cool? Since the edge Flames jerseys are considered "custom made", you could actually get them to replace the red (home) and white (away) with black, and the price wouldn't change. I think it would be cool to see how that turns out. Can anyone photoshop this?

A decent turn-out, and good weather. Interesting characters around the corner at the soup kitchen. We had to be careful calling for a pass from "Junky".

Slava = sniper and beer provider
Aeneas = head-hunter
Ross = likes to run
SportsJunky = likes to retrieve ball
WindomURL = good wrist shot
troutman = can stack the pads

It was a fun run-around for sure! I would say that I'm looking forward to next week...but I am in a lot of pain this morning. Apparently I should try to get in shape before commiting to a full Ball Hockey schedule!

Hopefully more guys come out next time....

Good times, good times. I'm sure we all have a few welts from blocking shots. Big ups to troutman for taking a hard wrister from Aeneas off the melon and still getting up to make the next stop.

MVP to Slava for bringing beer.

I'll be out for the next one but with a cup on. Every time I played ball hockey without one it seemed like the ball had a target lock on my groin.
