Personally, I'd like to see the miss the final because of a yellow card rule abolished from the semi-final stage onwards particularly in the WC. Legitimate red cards fair enough.
Takes away the whole concept of two teams in the semis going at er with players holding back for fear of another yellow card.
Gazza agrees with me.

Well it's not like Barca is full of Brits.
The implication that I shouldn't cheer for the English clubs because they're not full of English players is a bit silly. Unless you're criticizing the system, but honestly that doesn't make much sense either. If you're a great player, you deserve to play in the great football markets no matter where you're from, and the best markets deserve to watch the best players.

I can find other sources that seem to agree with me that United have spent more. It doesn't really matter though. We can assume The good part is since Rafa's been in Liverpool, most of the money spent has been worth it (and the stuff that wasn't, like Keane) we got most of the money back.

Although the accounting methods (and specific results) may vary from source to source, they all lead to the same conclusion - the gap between United's spending and Liverpool's spending is not nearly as large as Benitez wants people to believe. He should do something about it other than whinging.

Go United!!!!
I know that many fans are jealous of Man U but I don't get how anyone can cheer for Barcelona which is like Man U except 1,000 times worse.
Plus they have Henry which is reason enough to hope that they lose.

1,000 times worse in the ways in which opposition fans complain about Man U.
i.e. spending tons of cash, obnoxious fans etc.

Yeah, you certainly expected a different result after the first 8 min. What a turn around after the goal.

Gonna enjoy work tomorrow, working in an office with an unusually high percentage of soccer fans (with several Man U fans in the building that I talk to every day )
Regardless of it all, Man U fans talking about tying Liverpool in leagues (once they did) was ok. Then immediately talking about "we're going to close the gap to 1 on Europe" was a little excessive. If you were facing a ridiculous Cinderella that'd be ok. Barcelona is Barcelona though.
All in good fun either way. I suppose the transfer window's next on the footy fan's day planner.
