Yup, this game seems like a "must have".
Any 360 teams being organized?

Not the one...

Should we make a separate thread, one for a 360 team, one for a PS3 team?
Mods, that ok?

Yeah, I am beyond pumped for this.
I'm down for helping organize a PS3 team if there are a couple others.

Yeah, if it makes it easier for you to keep track go ahead and do so.

PS3 team, I'm down. I'm new here, but that shouldn't matter.
I'm amazing at NHL 08, but my record was tainted with everyone exploiting the game and my disc constantly freezing on my 360. I think my record is still something like 85-10 with those blemishes.
What position does everyone want to play? I want to know if we can have a few characters so that we can alternate between positions.

new 12 minute video of actual online gameplay. Guy narrates what playing on in the EASL is like.

The good thing is that it cleared up a worry i had: that my real name was going to be available to see. But, you can name your player whatever you like, so your real name isn't out there.

I find the coloured icons all over the screen distracting. I really just want the one over my own player.
Does anyone agree?

Yeah, it's seems pretty busy. I would be surprised if there were no options to turn those off though.

Looking at the ratings, I think Vandermeer is ranked a little too low. 65 overall? He could be 70 or so, I think.
Maybe I'm too picky. I am certanly biased.

I don't believe they have overall ratings do they? I thought they got rid of that.

IGN just released the NHL 09 individual player ratings for all 30 NHL teams, check them out below. NOTE: The first rating on each players chart is NOT overall player rating. Those have not been released yet.
|
Yeah, they still have overall ratings. I don't know how you could have a sports game without 'em.

Am I the only one finding it odd they have Brandon Prust listed but not Boyd or Nystrom?

GOAT!

What's up with Iginla's numbers? The guy's the second highest goal scorer over the last 8 years, and just came off a 50 goal season.... but he only has an 89 for shooting accuracy?
It's all good, though, because they gave him an 88 for shot blocking.

I was playing 08 last night and that part where Staal comes through the opening dangling the puck with the logo in the back comes up and I thought to myself. I wonder what Dion's is.
Staal's was essentially the same as Ovechkin's, but they are both forwards.
I'm hoping that one of the two of them come through doing this and then Dion comes out of nowhere and lays him out. Or even better, Gagner

I was at Wal-Mart yesterday, and they had the marketing machine in full effect. The posters (all 4,000 of them) say the release date is Sept. 12th. Does that mean we can see it on store shelves in Calgary on the 12th, or does that mean the 15th?
