I can't remember where I read this - think it was redflagdeals.com - that someone had called to TSCC customer service to inquire about his online Wii order and the CS rep said they got between 50-75 consoles (can't remember exactly) and had over 550 orders in the period they left the link up.

I caught Bestbuy.ca and got to place an order, and when I finished up ordering it still said there were 4 in stock on the Item page but my order status says Out of Stock, which of course it is on the site. But when I ordered there were 15, when I finished the order there were 3 left.
Am I hooped? or Is there a chance that they'll still process the order? Just curious for those who've ordered from bestbuy.ca, what was the initial status on your orders page?

I can't remember the status, but I do know that Best Buy and Future Shop, unlike The Source, have a web system where the inventory is real time; so if it says you got one then you got one, not this we put it up got 500 orders and only have 20 crap.

I was actually so ****ed off and dissapointed that I went on eBay and put in a bid $100 over retail for a Wii... then I saw the consolewatch email and luckily got one there.
Thankfully the eBay seller removed my bid without hassle.

Anyone know where to find a nunchuck?
I bought an extra Wii for a friend but he doesn't want it anymore. I'm selling in the B/S forum.
I do need a nunchuk for my own system though.

Well I guess that I am the first CPer to have to send his wii in for repairs. I was playing with a corded gamecube controller on Saturday night and my doughter tripped on it and my wii went crashing to the floor. Now I cannot eject the disk. I just get a clicking and whirring sound.
I called Nintendo on Sunday and they said to send it in by purolator and it is covered under warranty. WOO HOO!!
They said I should have it back in about 10 busniness days. I feel so naked without it. I just downloaded Zelda for SNES and was just getting into it again like when I was 12.

For those of you having troubles getting a hold of a Wii, try some of the smaller places, like video stores. I went to my local video store (Rogers)and asked to put my name on a waiting list. They said they get about 4 or 5 in every Thursday and I was about 2 weeks away. Well, 4 days later they called and they have one in for me, plus an extra knumchuck (sp?) controller.

My local Rogers (in Vancouver) had some the other day. I didn't buy one.

Its a pretty watered down game...however if you think about it the game really only costs an additional $10.00. So i guess there are worse things to waste your money on
The Duck Hunt and Find Mii games are probably the best, everything else seems to be filler

Keep consolewatch.com loaded at all times... that's how I found mine. Which has yet to arrive, stupid sortation plant. I'll have it tommorow though.
