He's a Metallica fan.

sounds like a computer could be defined as a musical istrument. I guess a computer just doesn't fit your skewed preception of what is a real musical instrument is. Welcome to 2006. Its not 1806 we are not using banjos, folk guitars, and violins to make music anymore.
My God, where do you come up with this?

Is there any talent in using a computer to make music? Just because you can program it, notice the word 'program', to make music? Hell you don't even have to do anything, just type in a couple commands and bang, you got 'music.'

I know many, many, many bands that still use a banjos, folk guitars and violins to make music. On that point you're flatout wrong.

I listen to country, rock, metal, and sometimes folk. You know, music made by guitars and a drum.

Its just my opinion, don't get so worked up.

BTW, it would take talent to make music with a garbage.

Worked up? I don't think you could work me up if you tried. It's kind of hard to take seriously the musical expertise of someone who has never heard of Miles Davis.

Also, saying you are a big fan of Metallica but don't like computerized/digitized music is like saying you love a Snickers bar but you hate chocolate.

I was kidding.

Metallica makes their music with guitars and drums. Sure they might distort the song, but virtually all bands do that, and have for a long time.

My god where do you come up with your stuff???

Too make good music on a computer you have to be able to read music, know about pitch, tempo, and about musical instruments. A computer can emulate real life instruments, and a person using the computer must know which notes to use and so on. You also have to be able to compose all the sounds you make and turn into a song. Its hard work my friend. I have tried and its not as easy as you make it out to be. If I was classically trained in music I am sure I would be alright at it.

You don't just magically type a couple of commands and have a brand new song or beat. What your saying is complete ludacris.

Almost all music nowadays is distorted by computers to sound a certain way anyways. Why do most bands sounds like crap live and sound different on their studio albums.

I didn't realize that rap has anything to do with pitch. A computer that emulates real music shows that people have no clue how to play instruments in the first place, therefore they shouldn't be making music at all.

You're reaching pretty far if you think rap groups are 'trained' to make music. I thought most of them came straight off the streets where they were shot 9 times?

Is that really necessary? Or do you miss your needless fights with MMM that you feel a need to start a new feud?

This agrument is still progressing nicely. I was worried that it had gotten polite in the last 4 pages I skipped.

but to make the music sound good you have to make the computer play the same notes as a musician would play. So if you dont know how to play notes on a real instrument you really cant create them on the computer. There is no "make a beat now" button."

SO some pimply faced, depressed, anti-social, living in the suburbs, garage band goofs, banging on drums and playing electric guitar are trained too make music better then someone from the streets that got shot 9 times? I dont get what you are trying to say.

What is your criteria for a real musician or someone musically trained? Sorry Mozart and Bach arn't around...

You do this yourself I assume since you seem to know how "easy" it is?

Please post some of your creations, I'm interested to hear how "easy" you can make it sound.

Still beside the point. The musician still has to use the instrument to make the music, then he can take it to a computer and do whatever the hell he wants with it.

Really? How much talent goes into making a beat that is featured in 90% of rap songs today?

We're talking about a rap beat here. Hard to make? I didn't think so.
