True, but that's why I'm saying critic's reviews are so bad for the average schmoe. A critic that liked "The Ice Storm" by Ang Lee for it's juxtaposition of teenage angst against sexuality likely won't appreciate a gonzo action sequence with zero artistic value. Think pure popcorn flick.
Not saying there are no critics that can wear both hats, but it's rare. Most seem to forget the average person just wants to be entertained and not be bored.
