It has nothing to do with conformity.

What if a white jersey has numbers and a name on it? That's a little more red.

Like mightyfire said, if you shelled out lots of money for a jersey, you can wear it, IMO. If you spent up to $200 on a white Flames jersey, that's supporting your team! If I spend that much money supporting my team, it's not gonna be hanging in the closet if it's all I've got.

It's that simple.

you know whats easier then paying $5, $9 or $12.99 for a red shirt?

Go to the Salvation Army and get one for $1.

Lol. I'm not an 'edgy nonconformist' by any means.

Clearly, you're a zealot on this issue and no one is going to change your opinion. Fair enough.

Enjoy belittling people for wearing the wrong colour of shirt to a sporting event, if that's what helps you sleep at night.

Makes me laugh that something so silly could be an issue for anyone.

Oh well, it takes all kinds, as the expression goes.

Bye now.

Ultimately if people don’t want to wear red that is their personal choice. But for the life of me I don’t know why they wouldn’t. It’s a chance to be a small part of something neat.

already covered earlier in the thread. The general consensus is that your WHITE JERSEY is NOT RED. Therefore, you should not wear it.

I always thought it was the "C" of red, because of the Flaming C on the flames jersey. I have heard from many different people that it is not the "C" of red but it is the Sea of Red. The "C" of red does make more sence, but i am good either way. In the 03/04 playoffs, the Sharks claimed they had the "ocean of teal".

See the signature.

White jersey is not red. 90% is unacceptable. 100% red is the goal. You have had two years to get a red shirt. If you don't have a red shirt, other fans at the Dome will be sure to bloody you up so your white jersey will then be red.

I do believe that is an inequation. If you call it an equation, the confused people will believe the black is just as good as the red! We can't have that!!

Say, hypothetically, that I was wearing ALL red, but also had a gigantic white Flames flag. Since the flag's enormousness would cover a large portion of my body, would that be as evil as actually WEARING white?

Any one know where I could get some red hair dye that can be washed out? I also need some cheap red pants. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to keep this thread going but there's one thing that drove me nuts in '04.... the flag thing. White flags are not acceptable. From the other side of the Dome they appear to be white jerseys/shirts/etc... They have too much white. Also, the flags are too big and cover up the people behind you who are wearing red.

As an aside, if you don't have a red shirt but have red pants (and don't have the funds to buy a new shirt) - cut a hole in the crotch and wear the pants like they were a shirt.
