Drai saying the leaders need to be better. I wonder if he thinks the A on his jersey is for 'awesome', not alternate, because he is probably more of a leader than their actual leader.
He did his part in this game but threw everyone else under the bus lol.

That's no reason to penalise Draisaitl.

I find it so bizarre that Jarry refers to his own teammates as 'they'. I know he hasn't been there that long, but long enough now to refer to them as 'we' or 'us'. Wonder if there's some real chemistry issues on that team, wouldn't be surprised if there was.

Noticed that too. Plus with how quick Pissy was to throw him under the bus in the post-game interview, it certainly seems like some friction there with maybe his new teammates not warming up to him yet.

I'd be trying to distance myself from the Oilers as much as possible, too.

Losing teeth on an unpenalized draisaitl play leading to a goal sucks.
He should return the favor next meeting.
Pretty boy Leon could stand to get a little uglier & more rugged. Its a rite of passage for nhlers

Iggy was a warrior. Pissy is not.
The guy flops like a sack of potatoes every time someone touches him and likes to mouth off but doesn't have the balls to back it up. He would just go hide behind the ref or Nurse.

Fun!

I believe you are incorrect.
There are competing chants of Let's Go Oilers, followed immediately by Oilers Suck.

Unrelated Question:
Who the hell is Josh Samanski?
Aside from someone who apparently had 12 shifts, 9:23 in ice time, no shots, and was a -1...

Sharangovich got hit by Draisaitl's stick on his way down to the ice. I didn't see an elbow. I actually saw it on the 2nd replay that they showed of the hit itself, and neither Abbott nor Hrudey caught the stick.
Not sure if there was a call to be made or not - the stick was obviously around waist high or so, and the blade struck Sharangovich right on the mouth as he was falling down. Looked a like a freak accident, actually. Not sure if there should have been a penalty on the play or not - definitely not high-sticking. Maybe slashing? But it looked accidental, and the result of two guys colliding and falling. However, I only caught it for a split second during the 2nd showing of the hit, when the Abbott and Hrudey were saying "Maybe an elbow?". It was after the hit, as Sharangovich was falling to the ice if it helps.
Also..
Oilers really suck.

I was so struck by that last night and said something similar in one of the thread, the quote was something like 'they have a good team over there' or something as I recalled it and it really clanged
I felt like that refers to the wonder twins and maybe at most Bouch, Hyman the Nuge and Ekholm (maybe the overpaid 2nd pair). that's the team. the rest of them it's like they paid for some contest to play with the pros or something

Yes, the contact appears to have been Draisaitl's stick in Sharky's mouth. But the stick was simultaneously above Draisaitl's own head (actually the whole shaft was directly above his helmet) at the moment of contact, so it would be hard to argue that it wasn't a high stick due to Sharky falling.
