The best part of the Boston deal was it was going to be a better pick.
Dealing with Vegas is terrible because it makes the 2026 pick worse and the 2027 is likely no better

So, if Vegas wins the Cup this year, the Flames get pick 32 in 2026, the Vegas first rounders in 2027 and 2028 (presumably).
If they don't win the Cup, the Flames get a pick better than 32 in 2026, the Vegas first rounder in 2027, and a likely late second in 2027.
