57/380 reporting: Farkas still in the lead, but the gap has narrowed.

Landon Johnston leading so it’s clear people aren’t taking #### seriously.

Is there a TV broadcast anywhere with political analysis? I assume @ 11 there will be but anything at the moment?

Farkas Gondek Theisen in some order seemed to be where the thread was.

I really wished we had a preferential ballot.

Seems to be a race between Farkas and Sharp, with Gondek a distant third... but as the 2010 election proved, anything can happen this early in the race still.

One glimmer of hope for progressives is that Inam Teja is leading in ward 6 with a split of 3 conservatives (just 2 stations so far though)

It is very early at the ward level but it is great to see that Stephen Carter's Calgary Party is behind in pretty much every race. I hope he fails miserably with his stupid party.

Obviously still very early, but a quick look at the incumbents running:

Dhaliwal - winning
Chabot - winning
Drunk Racist - winning
Wyness - barely winning

Wong - barely losing
Penner - losing

Dhaliwal seems pretty moderate IIRC; I don't like Chabot's politics but I respect him as a stickler for the rules and am glad to have his institutional knowledge carry forward; I'm not a fan of Wyness but she isn't awful (actually voted for rezoning); my thoughts on Dan Mclean should be self evident.

Overall not exactly the best and brightest carrying on for us. Looks like nine to eleven of the 14 will be brand new.

He was the failed “Recall Gondek” astroturf petition guy. The ultimate goal, of course, was collecting names. Seems to have worked out for him (so far).

Down to 123 vote margin for mayor. Probably gonna be close enough for a recount.

No live coverage on TV or online other than posting results. Seems strange.

I don't think Farkas is gonna be able to hold off Sharp. Hope I'm wrong.

It's unbelievable that Landon Johnson has such a large lead.
