This is why plus/minus on it's own isn't a reliable measurement. Parekh gets a minus there, even though he had nothing to do with that goal against. In fact he was the only one able to catch up to Pterka and get some contact on him (which he was getting a penalty for).

Bad giveaway - good anticipation by Peterka - if the pass makes it across though, Parekh has a clear line to the goal. I wonder if he was calling for it.

I think it's pretty awesome. He's reffed 86 times over 5 seasons. I'm not sure what a typical game count is per season, so I don't know if 86 games in 5 years is low or not. Like maybe he's slowly been ramping up to more and more games each year as he gets experience?

If the flames get a few high talent young players going, it'll at least be fun hockey to watch. Watching these vets try to grind it out is painful. I'd love to watch Parekh and McKemna lose games 4-5.
