Just got my renewal package from AMA. $2300 for a fairly average SW suburban stucco two story, which I think is a $500 jump. Nearly $1600 of that is for hail and wind. Is it possible to drop out of that? Our siding is cement stucco and our shingles are pretty old and, I assume, wouldn't get much payout, anyway. No mortgage.

I don’t know either. Just saying it doesn’t need to be a 100% apples to apples comparison between insurance companies. Figure out what you need from another insurance company, and if it works out cheaper then switch.
