The kings deserve a series win.

So tired of the Oilers pulling the kings and somehow avoiding playing a lethal offensive team in the first round. I would love nothing better than seeing them be absolutely throttled by a much deeper and determined Kings team.

Those 12 (yes 12) overtime wins took the Oilers from being below the Flames in the standings and into the playoffs. I don't see this team getting all the breaks they got last year and certainly don't see them overcoming somehow worse depth and worse goaltending in 2025.

Remember when the Jets swept the Oilers in the 1st round? I do, it was beautiful.

Last year was a nightmare, let's see these clowns eliminated immediately.

It really was a nightmare. I think the worst part is having to listen to the people that never watch hockey (friends, family, coworkers) brick up and suddenly become Oiler fans: "Don't you want a Canadian team to win?"....barf.

As much as I don't see it, the unease I'm feeling of this team pulling a rabbit out of the hat again and somehow sneaking by LA to facing a depleted and beat up juggernaut next round is sickening.

So is Kane actually not good to go or have they realized he is just no good?

Kane has been game ready for 2 months now.

After 2 weeks back on ice a player should come off LTIR. If you are practicing with the team full throttle, you should be playing games and off LTIR. If you cant play go home and rest.

Doesn't sound like a Trump-friendly place to me.

They are pretending that he's close to being cleared despite the fact that he probably could have suited up months ago. I'm not sure they actually want him in the lineup unless it's as an injury replacement or they are losing the series and want to shake things up. They have been trying to get rid if him going back to last season as he always wears out his welcome. I wouldn't be surprised if they buy him out over the summer.

If he was game ready for 2 months, why isn't he playing in game 1?

I love ****ing all over the Oilers, I don't get this obsession to play it like they're just magically resting all their players. The team is hurt. Players are already banged up. They aren't built for a long playoff run.

To me, that's the narrative I much prefer versus Oilers were resting players and are ready to ice a fully healthy and prepared team for the playoffs.

Injured or not Evander Kane isn't hepling the Oilers he isn't very good. He had 4 goals last year playoffs.

Just hope the Kings don't fail us again. I also don't see a mickey mouse march to the finals for the Oilers even when healthy.

They may as well be saying "go sports" if they can't discern why it's distasteful for someone in this city to cheer for that horse dump of a team.

And not even just in this city. And not just for hockey reasons. There are so many. I look forward to the day when someone asks me why we shouldn't cheer for the Coil. I'll carry a list to make sure I don't miss any of the juicy ones.

I am surprised. I turned on the Oilers game and their homer announcers are doing the game. Why is it that the Leafs and Oilers get their own announcers all of the time. Brutal.
