At least it's not "Colesy" or some generic garbage like that. Pickles is a great nickname IMO. Clever, relevant, and unique

Yegor has either forgotten how to play or he's still hurt. Haven't seen a player drop off like this since the late Monahan years. Constantly a half-step behind.
I'd give him some time off.

It's as terrible as any Colsey, cliche hockey nickname.
Nicknames are terrible in general, imo. We're adults, they're adults, just their actual name works.

Kadri gains zone and drops to Huberdeau in a bad position. That’s a habit he needs to break.

Rooney took that one right up Main Street.

Sharangovich looks like a guy that's just fighting it confidence wise. It's a fickle mistress at times.
Im guessing when/if he gets one, he will settle in and start to look like the guy he can be.

Or we can continue to act like kids occasionally and still have a little fun in life with things as inconsequential as nicknames.

Yeah, it is so bizarre. It could be something physical, something mental, maybe a combination of both. But he looks so slow and timid. Just.....off. Last season he was so much more assertive, using that wicked shot and getting involved. This year has been a total 180.

Several good Askarov saves to choose from, but that one was off the post and never going in

Then loaded with a bunch of interesting young players: Eklund (22), Zetterlund (25), Chernyshov (19), Musty (19), Bystedt (20).
Grier’s tear down has been efficient, and features some outright brilliant moves like acquiring Askarov. He has filled the most difficult positions to fill, now just needs to build around them - and they have plenty of assets and cap space to do so.

It's quite possible they get Schaefer this draft and then they will have pretty much all the pieces they need in terms of top end talent.

That’s a scary thought. They’re going to be a power house.
With the season Mikael Granlund is having, I imagine he’ll end up getting a decent return at the deadline as well.

Pelletier has to stop turning the puck over. Yegor is rightly getting most of the flak for that line's struggles but 22 hasn't been good tonight either.

I'm with Millen, this crap about having to fight after a clean hit is making the sport look bush league. The NHL has to stop this asap. Cheap, dirty hit? You bet. A clean hit? Play on.
