Glad that these games help Wolf and Vladars
numbers, be open it up.
You can see why Kuz was dumped by Van.
He will collect his 7 million and go back to Russia next year.

Huska's system is just plain bad.
I want a rebuilding coach to teach the team to play a better system that whatever insanity Huska preaches in the neutral zone. It's just plain bad.

You are saying a team with low talent tends to be in the lower end of expected goal creation. That’s not a coaching problem. You can’t coach talent.

If player sleep making super simple mistakes, over and over again, and Huska doesn't correct it then it's a coaching issue. Coleman and Backlund know how to play, so we are hey being reckless on Zone exits?
His is Huska's system. It's puts more importance on rushing he zone exit, or pushing at the opposing blue line for a zone entry, than on properly managing the puck.
I actually like he Flames "bend but don't break" zone defense. Everywhere else is a gong show.

Play a fun brand of hockey.

When your goalies are this good for you, why not play a higher event style of game?
If we're going to finish 10th in the west at the end of the day then going out on a burning wagon seems better than being cradled into a coma by nanny Ry-Ry.
Are we still game planning around activating the D or did we just put a sock in that plan? Was working pretty well early on.

Yeah thinking that any of the things Infiniti outlined is a “system” is pretty laughable
No coach is coaching his team to do those things
But Infiniti decided on day 1 Huska was bad and never gave him a chance and won’t

This team was supposed to be bottom 10 and is currently in a playoff spot. you'd think the expectations and results were reversed from some of the posts in here.

No the D don't activate anymore like they did. After the break the team really tight ed up at both ends of the ice.
They are trying to win 2-1 and 1-0 games. Hope for some bounces.

I was referencing expected goals against, not expected goals for. My point is the Flames are not a super defensive team.

If Huska is such a great teacher then why are these mistakes repeated time after time, and now by veterans who know better? It's 100% what he places importance on in his system. It's the polar opposite of a Sutter system which is all about puck management.

Swedes are having a bad game. Backlund ignores his man, Wolf has to be big, then next shift Andersson coughs it up gives up a partial breakaway.

I'll allow the defensive cough ups. These saves are the most fun I've had all game.
