Utah will have to get 1st OA now, just to make it look not rigged, then San Jose gets Hagens next year instead.

they could finish dead last, own the pick of the team finishing 2nd last and still not pick first

No matter what happens, I doubt Buccigross is invited back anytime soon and tweeting probably gets banned.

Picking 9th is...HC Admiral Vladivostok of the KHL, they select Tij Iginla.
The trade was for Natural Gas and Grain, neither things the Calgary Flames, Alberta nor Canada needs at all and we simply by-passed the GM and the Organization.
Thank you and Good Day!
I said "Good Day" sir!

I still dont understand why they wont do a live draw or like 1 min delay. Could have a full odds board that updates with each drawn ball. Have the percentages similar to how poker does it. As teams are eliminated from contention, turn off their logos

Ha. Ha. A league that uses 85 year old technology is going to provide up to the second draft lottery information? Ha. Ha.
I do think it would be an awesome idea, though.

The Flames will in fact win the draft lottery.
And then the Oilers will ask for a review, the NHL will review, and determine that the draft lottery should not have awarded the 1st pick to Calgary, call for a re-draw, ban Calgary from participating, and remove their 1st round pick as punishment.

Oilers don’t need to ask for a review. The situation room will call it in
Surprising Daly who didn’t even know there was a phone on the podium

When the Flames win 1st overall the argument will then be that Celebrini isn't even a top tier McJesus level prospect and they got the best pick in a weak draft and that Celebrini would have taken at (x) spot in previous strong drafts.
I think we're doing this correctly now.

That would be the flames luck, win the draft lottery for the first time ever and either Celebrini turns into a Yakupov pumpkin or refuses to sign and goes to free agency.
I’m a little bitter towards the NHL these days.

Wouldn't Flames luck be having Iginla drafted with the pick right before the Flames'?

I think the flames luck would be drafting Tij and not Joe in a few years, then having Joe turn into a hall of fame player and Tij turn out to be an average player.
