What a horrible choice.
Even if you don't think anyone one the team is an "All-Star" someone has to be picked and there were multiple players more deserving.

Maybe some of the guys on our poll list declined the invitation??

Certainly possible guys declined, trips may have been booked lol
Coleman likely thought he was safe

This will get blown out of proportion but no he hasn't been excellent, he has been fine and that is ok. There is no reason to overblow what he has done.
He would be at best the 6th most "deserving" option after Coleman, Weegar, Markstrom, Kadri, Lindholm and you could easily argue for Zary there.
That isn't insulting him, that isn't being negative but there is no rational argument for Sharangovich to go to the all-star game and even less to say he has been excellent.

Remember Gaudreau-Lindholm-Tkachuk?
Guess who the only all-star is!

Swedish pretty boy was the most marketable choice.

Lindholm performing a skill for 30 seconds and playing at 50% in a short 3 on 3 game is not going to boost his trade value. Sorry folks.

LOL
There is not a single negative thing about what I wrote. This just shows that you don't actually read posts but just cry about the poster who made it.
Lindholm is an odd choice if you try to apply deserving to the criteria but makes sense if you look at what the league values more and that is name recognition not how you actually play.

Which makes sense if you ignore the number of players with huge name recognition that they left off the selection list.

Most of the odd picks are veteran guys with name recognition versus guys having better but not clear all-star seasons but lesser names. Jenner, Wilson aren't there because of their great play.

Jenner over Fantilli or Gaudreau makes no sense even if you go by name recognition.
He hasn't even played in weeks due to a broken jaw.

Exactly this. Maybe now he can fetch a 1st, 2nd and a blue chip prospect.

He’s 3rd in P/GP just behind Werenski and Gaudreau.
Very similar with Lindholm just behind Kadri and Coleman.

Certainly undeserving but hopefully this increases his trade value.

League couldn't have spent more than 30 seconds on this decision. Oh, well, as others have stated, it will hopefully pump his trade value a little.

Lame choice. But hopefully this boosts his stock and "all star #1 C" Lindholm fetches a decent return at the deadline.
