Merry Christmas everyone! I hope it was amazing!
My secret Santa spoiled me and hit it out of the park!
Every time I try and link pictures I fail. I am not very tech savvy about those things, if anyone wants to help? I can email you a picture of all the stuff for camping I got and you could post it for me. Completely get it if not.
We sold our truck camper a few years ago and last year we bought a roof top tent (absolutely love it!) we head out camping, kayaking and biking every chance we get and have started downsizing our gear for ease of transportation.
Santa got us great new lanterns, headlamp, cap lamp, knives, multi tools and a great bag to carry everything around in. The Christmas ornament that came with it is on the tree as well.
Multiple members have reached out, thanks to everyone! This place is the best! The picture should be posted later today and again thank you everyone!
THANKS [/IMG]

I’d like to take a moment to thanks Edslunch for the super cool and curated gift.
They built a small box of camping essentials for my boys and I as this past summer I spent a fair amount of time taking the kids camping. Edslunch prepared a small kit of things! Included were glow sticks, uno, magic fire, bug wipes, maps and a hammock!
Over and above all that was a professionally built trifold highlighting some of his favorite places to camp. I cannot express how good the graphic design was on this. It was amazingly well put together.
Thanks Edslunch, that was a great gift that immediately put a smile of my face!
Waterfowl lake is now on my goto list for the summer.

Sorry about not making a post earlier. Been sick the last few days.
Thank you so much to my secret Santa! Got a custom made beer advent calendar with beers personally selected by the secret Santa from their travel around the country (It has a map and everything)
I’m excited to begin the journey once I get well.
Based on the Secret Santa’s request I’m also going to post on the scoring as I consume the beers. (It will take some time to work through them)
It was a fun year yet again and can’t wait to participate once again in 2024. For those, who were on the fence for this year, come over to this side. It is always fun!

I won the Santa lotto. Insane gifts from our fearless leader. One of these would have been more than enough but both, along with a couple fridge magnets and a tin of wax. Unreal.

The sounds of Santa’s sleigh have drifted off over the horizon and the holiday decorations have been packed away. Even though it just now feels like winter it is time to officially close this years edition of the Calgary Puck Secret Santa.
It was a big year with the most contributors to date. I am grateful for the gifts I’ve received and even more stoked for our newest participants who got to experience the exchange for the first time.
A special nod to the extraordinary few who went above and beyond, you know who you are and I greatly appreciate your help.
There are a few who we did not hear from but I hope you’ve enjoyed being part of it this year.
Two last comments:
I am open to any and all suggestions regarding making the exchange better. One suggestion that came in this year was to update the survey to include any potential allergies. You will find that included going forward.
If you are watching from the sidelines and would like to take part next year, put a thank this post. I’ll send you a PM when things fire up again so that you won’t miss it.
All the best everyone.
It’s been a special year.

Sorry for the super late reply, we had a bunch of family in town for Christmas and our daughter's birth on Jan 3rd, so our household was a bit crazy over the holidays.
A HUGE THANK YOU to my secret santa for the Flames Onesie/Blanket and tickets to the Wranglers!! We absolutely loved everything and will share a pic of our little one in her Flames onesie once she's big enough to fit in it (She was only 5lb 9oz when born)
Thank you for organizing this again this year! We love participating and can't wait to continue the tradition in the future!

I received a bonus secret santa gift and I'd really like to personally thank the person. They were custom printed lithophanes of a couple of my images that I take of abandoned buildings. It is amazing and so thoughtful.

Today is one of the better days I've had in a while, and it's only 10:30AM! The sun is finally shining in Toronto (it's been an uncharacteristically gray winter here due to the unseasonally warm temperatures) and I found an envelope waiting for me in my mailbox. Opened it up to find two beautiful, handmade cards out of construction paper from Little bagofpucks and Littlest bagofpucks, thanking me for the Secret Santa gifts.
Thank you so much to the little ones! I love the cards and they went straight up on my fridge! It's a fabulous day!
